Two postal workers in Colorado have been caught stealing hundreds of Netflix DVDs. 503 disks destined for Lyons, CO were reported as lost, 23% of the total sent there. News story

We've all joked about postal workers "borrowing" our disks as the reason for delays and now it's actually happened. Are there any GC'ers in the area who've had problems that suddenly solved themselves? Does GC track losses by zipcode to detect possible postal theft?

Whats GreenCine? Prolly nothing...

Mindshare say steal the other stuff, then theres a bunch of logic and strategizing that says NF and BB are better targets anyway.

I'm not surprised; this is not the first time.
It's just really easy for them to look for those little envelopes, and if the workers are on routes they know who will have them.

Sadly, though, it seems for me that NF has the most broken/unplayables, and GC has the most that disappear. I am guessing that here, NF discs get mistreated; I have seen discs mashed into the bottom of my box several times. Those cardboard inserts really have saved GC's discs here several times, and I'm sure they know it. Oddly, I did once get one that was shattered, without obvious signs of abuse to the cardboard or the envelope.

Blockbuster emailed me once to let me know they finally received a lost disc back -- several months after I had quit their service. So I'm guessing someone at the post office was cleaning up behind a machine and found it, or someone got busted, and they still had the inventory envelope. My vote is sheer incompetence at my local office, but I've told that story before.

It is important to remember that the majority of postal workers are honest, hard working, and mentally stable people. So we should not discriminate this whole group of people just because 45% of them happens to be not.

So, I'm assuming you've gotten all of your hentai titles in a timely manner?

My hentai animes form GC are still coming at the same rate as before since I moved from RI to NH. But my 'main stream' titles from BB are taking much longer now, which is ridiculous since Worcester (BB's distribution center in MA)is only one-hour drive from Nashua. And so far, two BB title are already lost in the past few weeks. Oh well.

Hmmm, maybe "those" postal workers had something to do with it?
