I was just gazing proudly at the New Fansubs thread I put up a month ago. In terms of "Views" definitely #1 right now, with almost 1200 views. Eoliano's The Criterion Collection, Boutique Labels & Film Classics has a few more views, but that's been up since January.

Then, for some reason, I got to wondering what was the most "viewed" thread ever at GreenCine. What are members, many of whom never post any comments themselves, really interested in? So I took a look and here's what I found.

First of all, some information.
Each page sorted by view count can have a maximum of 20 threads listed.
Feedback has 39 pages of threads.
Anime and Off Topic & Games have 24 pages of threads.
In The Theaters has 11 pages of threads.
Home Releases has 10 pages of threads.
All others have fewer pages of threads, some have only one or two pages.
It makes sense that the Feedback section has the greatest numbers of threads, since People post questions there that they really should have just e-mailed to support@greencine.com like "Why can't I rent Porn?"

Here are the MOST VIEWED THREADS for each Discussion category, starting with the least viewed.

As expected, Anime is Number 1 by more than 5000 "Views"!

Anime
Initial D Fourth Stage
15277 Views

But wait! Number 2 is also in Anime, as well as 5th place.

Cute Japanese High School Girls (Azumanga Daioh)

Anime Characters: Separated at Birth
8314 Views

Coming soon... Hentai animes I want to see
6155 Views

Tachikomatic: Tanks are cute, too!
5766 Views

NEW animes like samurai 7 fullmetal alchemist naruto

5048 Views

It's worth noting that the Anime category has 3 and a half pages of threads with 1000 or more views. While the Feedback section has many more threads, it only has 1 and a half pages of threads with more than 1000 views.

Also interesting, the most viewed threads in the top 5 categories are ALL "animation" themed threads except for the Samurai Primer in the GreenCine Article Discussion section.

What's really curious is that the top thread, about Initial D Fourth Stage, with over 15200 "views," only has 7 posts on it and therefore hardly a page in length.

Once in a while it works, kinda like GC Zing! lookout!.

Sometimes there's a haze and all I see is fog, then I get downtown (SF reference) and all is clear.
