Cool Hand Luke?

Okay, how about some ground rules? Do we ask question? Is "luke" a clue to the actors and/or title?

This would be fun.

Except I already spoiled the answer with my link above. It's less a hint than an answer. Sorry to spoil the fun - but we should start some kind of similar contest using a quote from a movie.

Think of a line of dialogue from a movie.

"What did you think?"

"It was sick and weird."

Hmmm...

Thinking...

Oh, and no cheating on the IMDB, either! ;-)

(Btw, this thread's title reminded me of another favorite movie quote: "See if you can guess what I am now?" ... "I'm a zit! Get it?")

It's not spoiling the fun to guess an answer when one knows the answer.

I just figured it was a guess. Not having seen the movie I didn't realize Ursus' initial post was a quote. I guess having a woozy brain I assumed those were three hints to guess the three actors in the movie and I was puzzling what those hints meant. It never occured to me they were lines of dialog. (That's one of the curses of being a woozy; the obvious frequently elude us.)

Don't think it was American Beauty. Hmm, question: Have I seen this movie?

This isn't listed in IMDb anyway (I checked).

This quote happened during the beginning of the end credits.

Not "American Beauty" and I don't know if you have seen it, woozy, although many people of a certain age have and love it (as evidenced by the average rating given by over 100 GCers).

The question was tongue in cheek. It's sounds very familiar though. As though I probably have seen it...

So the quote: is the "it" in "What did you think of it" a form of entertainment (a play, a rock concert, a home video, a movie, a student art project, etc.)?

Is it self-referential? That is the movie they are talking about is supposed to be the movie we just watched.

Um, is the movie in the "it was sick and weird" self-referential?

A bear, huh? Was the bear played by a real bear?

Guess that rules out documentaries and films with Ben the bear.

Is the film animated?
