It's true!! On June 6th, she was seen HERE to grace what few of us care about the Yay Area with her presence.
Unfortunately it was impossible to note her rare presence with a post on the thread without bumping the WONDERFUL sight of her name in the top five away!
Please people. It's up to all of us to share this rare event and urge her to return on a more permanent basis. After all, life at GreenCine isn't really life at all without her. Right?

Damn! I missed her! (*reload hunting rifle*)

Oh well, at least now we know she's still alive.

A few points of order:

1) Not everyone jogs naked in the Bay to Breakers: Rule of thumb-- only people you don't want to see naked run naked. (There are sometimes but rarely exceptions.)

2) City streets are closed, diverted, or congested during the B2B race so it's often best to find other modes of transportation.

3) The Bay2Breakers are usually more fun to watch than participate (last time I participated in my pink slip I had the bad luck to be behind a naked person who shouldn't have been and all I saw during the day was his saggy butt; I'd have seen more watching from the sidelines.)

So with all three of those points in mind, here is the REAL picture of IronS during the S.F. Bay to Breakers.

(If we tease her will she return...)

IronS!!! Come back!!! We love you and miss you!

To "hijack" a thread about me... :)

Both car wrecks (yes, both cars were totaled, not just damaged) were not caused by me. In the first one, the woman who hit me claimed that she hydroplaned. My poor Camry was scrapped by the insurance company. I was only moderately hurt - whiplash, back pain and so forth - and did not need to go to the hospital right away. A few days later I had to fly across the country so I visited a massage therapist who made me well enough to travel but gave me poison oak in return. Oy.

About 2 months later, just when I was finally getting better, the second one occurred (how could anyone drive across the double yellow line with a little kid in the truck is beyond me). I wasn't even driving the car; I was the unfortunate passenger (I should have drove then this wouldn't have happened). Again, the car was totaled. However, this was a rental car and $9/day liability insurance was paid (great idea! Don't rent a car without it!) so at least that part of it was painless. My neck and back were really unhappy now. Still, no one involved needed an ambulance, thankfully.

So, it has been an annoying few months (not to mention all the other things that went wrong). However, no lasting damage was done although I'm thinking of moving to change my fortune around.

I thought the traditional 'wisdom' is to buy lottery tickets after you survived a life-threatening event. Not that I believe in this kind of crap. But maybe it is good time to make a 'Things I have to do before...' list. Or at least a 'Animes I have to watch' list.

Good time to buy a $350 bottle of wine and start a friendly casual conversation with an attractive stranger at a BART station. (Oh, isolated unrelated events.)

After the Bay to Breakers I last saw IronS holding a baby on her lap. Cute baby, looked half-Asian.

Oh, and guess who I met in San Diego! DBooher!

Poison Oak AND two car accidents!?

Maybe you should buy a lottery ticket.

It's nice to see you back on the boards. :-)
