It was a surprise. It was unscripted and he gave them more time then they excepted. It was frank and emotional. On Thursday, three victims of sexual abuse by priests who met Pope Benedict in Washington.

Yes, it was just a few of the hundreds (or is it thousands?). It never should have been allowed to happen in the first place. But Pope Benedict is new in the job and this is more than any other Pope has done to aknowledge this horror.

I ain't Catholic or even a big fan of the Church of Rome. But I am impressed.
