As the winner of the Tetrahedronical Anime Guess That Movie or Series it is apparently my turn to make up a contest. I think everyone has a guilty pleasure when it comes to entertainment - something they enjoy against all odds and marketing demographics. And mine, as a fully heterosexual male, is ROMANCE. Sweet or sappy or slightly naughty is good. Especially naughty... but back to the challenge!
There are three shows to guess. Ask a question or suggest a show, and the fan will respond in the native tongue of their country. The more questions it takes to guess the show, the more points you get when you correctly guess the show. Winner is the person with the most points. So there's a bit of strategy involved... guess the first two quickly but if the third takes a long time and you don't get it you still don't win... on the other hand you could wait to give an answer, but you run the risk of someone else stealing your show. Each show starts with zero points. You can only ask one question at a time. So for instance, let's say we've played for three rounds already:
Is it the R. Kelly video? - JohnQ (4pts)
Rene: Non
Sergei: Nyet
Dave: Yeah Beatch! The most heartwarming part is when he said he wanted to pee on her.
JohnQ gets 4 points.
Remember, romance of one form or another between main characters is a key element in all of these shows, although the shows themselves may perhaps be better categorized under other genres. In fact, although all of them are available through Greencine, one lists Romance as a genre, another Romance Drama, and the third doesn't list romance at all!

It was trigonal originally, but then I thought "Romantic TRIANGLE... Romantic TRIGON".
Also in case it wasn't clear, you only get points for guessing the series correctly, not asking a question where the answer is yes. That would be too easy to abuse.

Shows implies any kind of passive audio-visual presentation. I.E. Movies, TV, Videos, etc. are all OK.
If you guessed a series correctly right now you would get 2 pts. Hamano you didn't get 1 pt for the last question, the (1pt) is just the running value you would get for guessing the series. Which you didn't. I'll fix that in the future so it's more obvious.
C'mon guys, ask some questions to narrow it down. It's just like 20 questions except there aren't 20 of them.

how about just plain "triangular"? :)
The rules are confusing the heck out of me but I'll guess anyway...
Are any of the shows ot guessed thus far animated?
[btw, AYA didn't HAVE to be a harem one despite it quickly degenerating to one.. the first episode or two of season 1 was REALLY strong.. so disappointing to watch it fall into that category] |
