Does anyone know the name of the 80's breakdance movie that was shot in So. FL? I think Breakin' and Breakin'2: Electric Boogaloo were shot in LA. A friend is looking for a copy of this movie.

Ok, this is bizarre, but if you type "Break-dance" as a keyword and "Florida" as a location into IMDb's power search, you get.....(drum roll).....Ron Howard's "Cocoon"!!!
Erm, ok...I'm not sure why either.

The only two films I can find there that weren't filmed in New York or LA are "Body Rock" (1984) and "Thrashin'" (1986).

In Coocon, after the old guys swam in the special pool, one of them felt so good that he breakdanced. And, of course, they were living in a retirement home in Florida.

Thanks! I'll check them out. An acquaintance claims he was in a breakdance movie in So. FL movie. So I'm trying to see if he's telling the truth!! If you can think of any others, I would appreciate it.

If your friend was credited in this movie, you might want to try an IMDB.COM search for his name.

Or ask him what the name of the movie was.

It finally occurred to my to IMDB my cousin who was in the batman movie. Sure enough there he was in probably the shortest least amount of information IMDB page in existance. One role in a lifetime and no biographical information.

Hey. I don't have any relatives in IMDB. Maybe they only put biographical information for people who have more than one small role?

You aren't related to any actors? I believe they put as much information as they have. My cousin probably has the least information of just about anyone.

Well. I am not related to any actors who are good enough to be in a movie. I do have an aunt who does community theater. Really, it is better that way.

You're welcome! And if you enter "hip-hop" and "Florida", you get "Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise". So which is stranger? ;)
