If anyone is interested, I thought I'd point out that "Come Feel Me Tremble", a documentary about Paul Westerberg's tour for Stereo/Mono is available for requesting. Hopefully, with enough requests, they'll manage to find a copy and start renting it out:

We definitely want to get this one. The problem is it's now OOP (out of print) so whatever copies people are selling, even used, are pretty expensive. It's rare, but worth looking for. We'll keep trying. Let us know if you find it somewhere cheap! ;-)

ah, me too. Hopefully Tommy will finish off with the Guns n' Roses fiasco and do a tour with Paul in the near future. Paul never plays out west. Slim should join up too.

That would be great! It's hard to imagine a reunion, but it's hard to imagine some of the others that have taken place recently, too so you never know.
Meanwhile, there's always YouTube. |

so the cheapest I found was $13 at Tower (didn't know they were still around after all the brick and mortars closed):

Otherwise it looks like 20 clams, but seems to be in stock at multiple stores.

| Huh. Cool. Thanks. Of course the problem is, if the discs break at some point, then we can't replace 'em, since it's basically OOP. But might be worth getting a couple of copies if Tower has 'em. We'll keep ya posted. |

so, curious, what's the average life span of a greencine dvd? how many times before it's too damaged to go out anymore?

Depends on the disc, quality of the manufacturing, how many times it goes in and out, and often - pure, dumb luck. There are some discs that are really break-prone, though, a few anime series in particular. They were made on rather flimsy DVDs that don't last very long in the USPS system. Most of our discs last/have lasted quite a long time with no problems though. We've also done things to fix scratches and such when brought to our attention, try to clean them, and so on.
GreenCine members generally take good care of our discs. Handle 'em with care! |
