I was contacted by a member recently who was interested in erotic or adult films by female directors. I thought it would be fun to see what your favorites are (by female directors please) since we already have a similar topic going.
I do apologize for the partial redundancy since we actually do have a similar topic going - the point if this is to get your input, so I can provide a better list. While I know a bunch of titles, I haven't necessarily seen all of them, and I don't want to recommend a bad movie. |

Candida Royalle. I've seen two of her flicks, My Surrender and The Gift. The former had a bunch of mini-stories that didn't particularly interest me. Either it was weird (in an unamusing way) or the guy was just yuck. The ending was good though. The Gift has somewhat less explicit sex scenes (or maybe just boring? It's been a while) but more attractive actors/actresses.
Truthfully, the fake breasts were just daunting. I don't have enough experience with porn to really be able to compare the two, except that Candida's femme-centered porn is slanted much more towards a woman's eye. And there's nothing degrading there (which is a sure way to make me growl). I'd like to see Caribbean Heat, Revelations, Under the Covers and Stud Finders. I suppose one day I'll buy them. Or rent them if I can find them. :P
I was looking at her website and realized the thing that would get *me* to buy would be photos of the actors involved. How shallow am I, eh?
Lie with Me was *written* by a woman, but not directed by one.
The L Word was directed by women and by men directors. It can get pretty steamy, in-between bouts of lesbian drama.
I'm actually kind of curious about this now. XD |

You mean Candida Royalle. Without the protocol ("http://") a link assumes you are refering to a directory and file on the same (in this case "http://www.greencine.com) link.
I didn't really like Erotique but I suppose it should be mentioned as it's entire premise is ... erotic films directed by women. In this case it's three shorts directed by Lizzie Borden, Clara Law, and Monika Treut. All three had emininent credentials about 10 years ago for being the top experts in women and erotica. Not sure how one becomes such an expert but...
Hmm. Googling didn't work as well this time. |

| I only saw Candida Royalle's One Size Fits All. But that was enough to let me know not to look for any more of of her "directed by women, for women" type of adult films. I don't want to go into the details because that will protrait me as a male chauvinist pig. Let's just say that most of the female characters were "under developed". (Yes, we know they are fake, but we still want to see them) |

Meh, depends on the person. I'm a guy and I find fake breasts abhorrent. Then again I'm also opposed to any that are too large and I find the standard fake, plastic porn star look very unattractive.
It's just one of those things like facials that a lot of us don't like, but where there's a hardcore fanbase that supports it enough to make it a part of the dominant motif. |

Must I spell out everything for you?
BOOBS! BOOBS! BOOBS!
So there. Watching too much anime must have messed up my sense of perspective. Anime has raise the bra for female anatomy, so to speak. |

The bra, eh? Was that deliberate?
One Size Fits All is one of her older films, I think. It seems like The Gift is also one of her older films, and as far as pornography went, it was very tame. I don't mean it needs facials, etc, I mean the scenes were just...boring. Maybe if I watched it again, I could explain better, but I don't feel like digging it out of the closet and my dvd player is in the living room.
And woozy, that was a kind of typo. When I copied the wiki link, I just didn't get the entire thing. :P |

I'm grossly and utterly fascinated by the fascination with breasts! What a weird thing to find attractive? Why? What guy was sitting around in the caveman days going "check out that rack, that's hot!" and the rest of the male race followed suit, for centuries?
I just don't get it. |

I get it. :P Part of it, I'm sure, is cultural. But..I don't know. It's kind of a contrast. A woman's breasts are soft and round, while a man's pectorals are hard and usually flat (even the ones that aren't 'ripped' are flat and not particularly soft). Breasts are the very opposite of manhood. Hips, too. And ass. XD Ever wonder why seeing a cat arch its back in a stretch kind of makes you want to pet it?
In terms of evolution, it was just a way for a woman to go, "Hey, look at me! Pick me! I'm FERTILE!"
What *I* wonder...are lesbians (not bisexuals, just lesbians) just as attracted to a nice pair of tits as men? The answer would open a whole new line of questions. |

There have been studies that women (not nesc gay) are also attracted to women's bodies whereas men to men's not so much. 'course it's never like a fourteen year old boy who will walk into an airplane's propeller for a peek at a boob. I'm not sure I believe these studies and I kind of figure I need to take them with a grain of salt. I mean obviously women won't walk into an airplane propeller for a peek at a boob... they won't, will they? Maybe women don't *know* boys *willI walk into an airplane propeller. Well, maybe they do. After all when you first take of your shirt for your boyfriend (heck, why not) and then the boyfriend weeps for joy and spends the next five hours petting you breasts, that's probably a big hint that maybe boys really *do* like breasts.
Not to sound like a patronizing father, doozer, but if you don't get how guys like breasts maybe you should be carefull talking about them too much. It might be unpleasant to realize that the guy you were making a few silly boobs jokes with might really be a slimy pervert going to bed with drool running down his chin. Well, maybe I'm being a little extreme.
Lessee, all guys like breasts so it's hard to tell if I have an average breast lust or a greater breast lust than average. But I really, really, really, like them.
Why? Well, they're nice and round and a pleasing focus to the tactile and oral sensations mostly. I think that's probably it. There is the association with being childhood breast-feeding too. Pretty much they are pleasing to all the senses and trigger a very, very, primal pleasure response. I mean, .... what's not to like?
Funny how no-one talks about leg fetishes and leg-ogling and being "leg men" anymore. Or was that just a WWII-nylon shortage phase? Or a hold-over from the victorian taboo?
To be honest. Asses do nothing for me. At least nothing more than what a well-punctuated body all over does-- draw attention to the fact that the body is sexually capible.
Actually, an odd thing about breasts is that the don't fit into the same reasoning of any more general body erotic esthetics. Suppose you were trying to describe how a chair or a teapot or a cat or an animal (or a man or a woman) or a space alien might be sexy to someone with a different sexual desire or a space alien (or yourself from you *opposite* orientation). Usually you'd find sleek lines, smoothness, muscularity, the attraction. At least I do.
I wonder if gay men are ever attracted to (women's) breasts. I also wonder if straight men will ever admit to being attracted to male bodies and if so what they notice. (Ha! I simply can't imagine NLee copping up to anything like that.) |

Ha! I'm curious, not 12! I completely understand that. It's not so much that I don't get that they are, I'm just fascinated at HOW MUCH they are. |

No? And planting a soft little kiss on the back of her neck while a whisp of her hair brushes your cheek and feeling safe and warm breathing in her scent, doesn't do anything for you either?
Excuse me, I'm going to bed now.

Well, yeah "her". "He" wouldn't have a nice sweet bare round bosum for your fingers to caress, would he?
