Little note from the staff and me here for those who may have noticed we had to take some postings down in recent days:

While we are in the process of drafting an official set of rules for posting that will coincide with the launch of our brand-spankin' new discussion boards (woot!), we do feel there are a few things we can all agree on as common courtesy for any of those involved in a web-based community.

NO FLAMING. Comments that personally attack other members that are neither constructive nor on-topic will be deleted. We must maintain a degree of civility on the boards.

Stay on topic. Please check that your posting has relevancy to the thread at hand. We will attempt to redirect, but will delete if necessary, postings that are irrelevant to the parent topic. And related to this is...

Let sleeping dogs lie. For topics that have been fully discussed, exposed, decided upon, clarified, etc., please do not reopen the issue unless you have you have reasonable motivation to do so that will significantly contribute to the discussion.

While it is unfortunate that we have not been sufficiently vigilant in the past in monitoring when threads get out of hand or do not comply with our understanding of forum etiquette, now is a good time as ever in order to maintain civility on the boards. This is not to stifle an open discussion. This to reclaim the original function of the boards, as a forum that exemplifies GreenCine's aim in its service: building a community that loves to talk about and celebrate cinema.

Thanks for your understanding,

Team GreenCine!

I'd also like to ask for your patience, for those of you who have had posts taken down and may be upset that they weren't given the chance to be redirected or edited. Please understand, with the limitations of our discussion board software, editing and redirecting will take some time. In the mean time, we've saved a transcript of your postings, and any comments or concerns can be directed to
