Festival programs will be out on the street and on line next week at http://www.holehead.org "
vexkitten	post #3  on May 10, 2005 - 3:41 PM PDT   Horror fans: Request "The Nest"! I've wanted to see this gross-out mutant-roach flick since I saw an unusually graphic trailer years ago. Something reminded me of it recently, so I looked it up here and saw that it has "request" status. I've been reading reviews on IMDB, and while I'm sure it's no lost classic, it looks like a good slimy Eighties creature movie with Fly/Thing-type effects. Surely there are some old-school latex and slime afficionados here, enough to justify making this flick available to the people. If you still aren't convinced, listen to Joe Bob : ...Eight dead bodies.  Arms roll.  Dog mutilation, with gratuitous maggots.  Rat-eating.  Cat-eating.  Roach stampede.  Exploding house.  Cat Roach.  Roach Mayor.  Roach Float.  Dempster Dumpster cockroach attack.  Fat lady devoured by roaches.  Boiled roaches.  Phone lines cut by roaches.  Frozen roaches.  Gratuitous quotations from Carl Jung.  Toilet Fu.  Syrup Fu....
Gradalis	post #4  on May 11, 2005 - 3:46 PM PDT   The press launch for AHitH is scheduled for next Wednesday. The only two titles currently confirmed are Immortel (ad vitam) (due to be released on video 21-June) and Kichiku dai enkai, the ultraviolent debut feature from Kazuyoshi Kumakiri.

It is not suspenseful like a horror film should be... I guess it is more scifi, but I am not complaining because I've been trying to drag people over to watch it. It is definitely perfect for the big screen so try to catch it in the theatre before it is on DVD.

nyetah	post #8  on May 27, 2005 - 2:30 PM PDT   i don't know about you other horror watchers (judging from the few responses there's not many of us here) but i felt like this years list is one from a tired group of people. i mean, Bruce Campbell's poorly reviewed film will be showing one week later but BC will be there (the Balboa theater) to make the event, well, eventful; "evil dead: live" is good fun but if you're a bay area horror fan and haven't seen it yet...you got to get a life, dude!
