Anyway to get this DVD without the whole box set? I got all the movies, but this doc.

Unfortunately, no. That doc is currently only for sale with the whole huge new Kubrick box set - which is very clever marketing on their part. However, I think it will eventually become available separately (from what I've been told). Hopefully, that's true!

If you are a dedicated Kubrick fan then you might as well buy the book and DVD which are available as a set at Amazon.

Yeah, but sometimes it's hard to wait. This notice has been up quite awhile:
"Availability: Release date to be announced:The release date for this video has not been finalized. You may order it now and we will ship it to you when it arrives."

I already have the book, I like it! Many Borders have them in the Bargain Books for $5.99! Ya can't beat that! Perfect gift for cinema friends.

Okay, how about this then...

Anyone see "Stanley Kubrick: The Invisible Man" the Channel 4 documentary by Paul Joyce?

I would very much like to see that!

Not seen it but would like to... I bet it trumps A Life In Pictures, which was a little too sanctimonious for my taste. Anyhow, here is a brief interview with Paul Joyce from The Kubrick Site.

Hey Jerry!

Most, if not all of Warner Brothers' Kubrick titles are being discontinued, so it seems reasonable to assume that they will be receiving new transfers in the not too distant future, so don't give up hope.

By the way, The Film Forum is presenting a new print of Paths of Glory in December.

Jerry, if you can't wait until next year for a new edition of the Stanley Kubrick Collection you might consider this, but I can't imagine that it's for real for only $4.99.
