| I don't understand why more of Hal Hartley's films aren't available. I adore Amateur as well as Henry Fool. Can't wait to see No Such Thing. So why is it so hard to find his stuff on DVD? It's not fair, I tell you. |

Yeah, unfortunately, I get a lot of email with "Can you get _____?" in the subject line that I have to respond to with "Not out on DVD yet!" Let's put it this way: There are nearly 80,000 VHS catalog titles out there compare to something like 14,000-18,000 (depending on what you're counting and when during the year) DVD titles. A lot of the good stuff, the classic stuff, is slated for release, but it's obviously a case by case basis. Barton Fink by the Coen Brothers, for example -- not out yet. And it's equally weird that something as basic as Henry Fool is not yet out on DVD. But we have a radar out for these things (or you GC members will bug us about it ;) and we'll make sure to get it in stock.
