I know where all the great bittorrent seeds and trackers are, but I can't tell you because I watch dubbed anime sometimes and enjoy it... Also it occurs to me that you are being incredibly mean to people who are dyslexic or just bad at reading subtitles... they have as much right to enjoy anime as you do.

Oh, and I think the best way to enjoy anime is in the RAW version with no dub and no subtitles! Those subtitles cover up a lot of the art, man!

Bye!

u kind of have childish taste in anime, but Ill forgive that since you are apparently a teen.

You probably would like Bleach
its new and aimed at teens. heck even I like it so far.

Early on this season though it seems like the anime i will enjoy the most is Mai/My HiME but then I knew that last spring

How about Rozen Maiden? Too shoujoish for you? (I don't think it's shoujo, but there're a lot of roses in it....) I kinda liked the trailer for it... creepy doll, but much cuter than Chucky!

Did you get a look at Gunbuster 2? What a wild show! It has EVERYTHING in it... really celebrating that 20 year history of anime creation....

Haha... that's really cute! The "yankee" tough guy gets a little grim reaper instead of a mini-right-hand-girlfriend!

That fight scene on the ferry was pretty neat, but it feels too much like a game so far... Does this school have the same student uniforms as Stellvia?

I just saw that! Nice ED theme, but as far as the show I don't know where it's going... fan service says this is for boys, and it looks like it's gonna be a "dark" magic girl show.... The whole "test" thing sounds like Cardcaptor Sakura though, and the Sun Spirit dude looked like the King in a deck of cards. Sei and Kei the college student tutors were exactically Yuki and Kyo from Fruits Basket a bit older, didn't you think?

Hmm... I don't care about the subtitles so it's okay...

According to the official website, it's scheduled to premiere at the CinemaRise theater "this fall" but a date has not yet been set. There's some anticipation, advance tix sales, an interview with Shinkai on the DVD that comes with Animage Magazine Oct. Issue, etc.

You're probably not gonna see it unless you go to Japan this fall or until a DVD comes out (Xmas? Next year?) unless someone sneaks a camera into the theater or something.

Oh, man.... finally the money shot where we see in graphic detail what happened to the little sister.... This is going to take the redemptive theme of harem shows to new heights (or depths, depending on your perspective...)

I'm hoping the ending doesn't cop out like Berserk and Devil Lady did.

How can Dommy call FMA and Naruto "new" in the thread title? I just saw Ep. 1 of BECK.

Nice animation and character design. Good music, of course. My one complaint is the clumsy use of English... I guess some of the future action takes place in the US, and the lyrics of the OP song is in English, and characters speak nothing but English through major portions of the script.

I suppose to a Japanese audience the English sounds cool, but it's BAD. You would think that at least for the OP song/single they'd make sure they'd get the English right for a show about American rock music! The chorus refrain is "I was made to HIT in America!" and this is repeated like 50 times... There are characters in the show who are Americans living in Japan or Japanese who lived in the US for a long time as kids.... They tend to speak English that's grammatically correct, I guess, but the voice acting is really bad, like they're being read off cue cards for the first time. As a Japanese media person frankly I feel ashamed watching this... otherwise the show is pretty nice.

My summary of the show is that it's Initial D all over again, that tried and true sports anime formula, but this time it's singing not racing or baseball. The show revolves around a 14 year old boy who leads a pretty ordinary life as a Japanese middle school student, until he meets up with a rock guitarist. Apparently, (this is not a spoiler since it comes from the promo material) he discovers a hidden singing talent and becomes passionate about something for the first time in his life... On top of all that, his "best friend/untalented sidekick" has the same voice actor as the one who played the "best friend/untalented sidekick" in Initial D, Mitsuo Iwata.

"I was made to HIT in America, I was made to HIT in America, I was made to HIT in America, I was made to HIT in America, I was made to HIT in America"

OH MAN! I just watched Ep. 1 of Kannazuki no Miko... No question, so far this has to be my favorite new show! It's a brilliant send up of a bunch of anime genres. It's got Moon Priestesses, Shrine Maidens, roses, Gakuen romance, giant robots, death rays, lesbian overtones, runic symbols, they put everything in it and none of it makes any sense but it's beautiful!

I like the character designs a lot, too. Beautiful!

Right off the bat there are obvious echoes of Sailor Moon, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Brother dear Brother, Ace wo Nerae, Toppu wo Nerae (Gunbuster) and Maria sama ga Miteru.

OK, this might not be for everyone, but I think it's tailor made for me... I really hope they can keep up this crazy silliness...

wha...!
Did somebody say "SHOUJO" and "Creepy doll?" Why am I suddenly reminded of Brother Dear Brother? Is Rozen Maiden any good? You've spiked my interest with before said key words.

Translation into English: "Are there any others who use the fast internet that their parents or school are paying for, to download low-bitrate pirated copies of anime that someone has stolen from the people who worked their ass off to make it, with incompetent subtitles and bad sound tracking? And can you find me a copy of something that's been licensed in R1, so I can steal it FREE FREE FREE unlike the dummies who actually pay money for a legal copy? Are there any others who feel really hip and cool for doing this sort of thing?"

Downloading is stealing, just like shoplifting is stealing, no matter how cool it feels. I have no idea why Greencine allows people to brag about downloading on the boards. A post like this would have been thrown off AnimeOnDVD in three seconds.
