I read couple posts in here and a lot of people seem to recommend Excel Saga as a really hilarious parody anime

Any comments if I should move to the top of my list?

Does it have ROMANCE LOVE STORY ON IT? I am a sucker for romantic comedy with HANDSOME COOL CUTE LOOKING BOY(s) and sometimes prefer to watch a somewhat romance that will make me drop on the floor crawling away from its DROP-DEAD FUNNINESS (ist that even a word...never mind) like ranma or fruits basket...I love transformation amine

Here is my likes of romantic comedy involving some type of fantasy and transformation:
Ranma 1/2 and Inuyasha (well Kagome travel back in time)
Fruits Basket
Sailormoon
I My Me Strawberry Eggs
Ceres and Fushigi Yugi
Mazes
Chobits
Zenki
DNA2 (couple first episodes before he likes Ami arggg)

Other romantic comedy I like:
His and her circumtances
Gravitation
Marmalade Boys
Boys Over Flower (please stop insanely in love with Rui)
Trigun and Big O (dont ask)
Lupin the 3rd (I cant even believe I say this...I used to hate it)

On my list:
DNAngel
Trouble Chocolate
Wedding peach
Here is Green wood
Hand Maid May
Sister Princess

sorry for long post...just listing all so maybe you guys can help me better :)

thankssssss mi meow,

kitty

You should check out Full Metal Panic! and especially Full Metal Panic! Fumoffu?. The latter is the romantic comedy part without the part that's supposed to appeal to guys (i.e. fewer mecha fight sequences). I thought it was hilarious. My husband enjoyed it too.

I like shaky's short assessment. I'd go a step further and say that there aren't any significant character-character relationships at all. It's a pure gag-type of parody throughout and that'll wear on you after a few episodes..

It had its moments though..

Well, there is the puchuus. Everybody love the puchuus.
There is a little romance, of a gag-comedy sort. There's the guy that loves Hayatt, and the thing with the woman at City Hall, and those robots, and Pedro's little side-story... and of course Excel loves Illpilazzo so very much, but somehow I'm going to agree with Shaky. It's funny, and fairly good, but not romantic. Illpilazzo might qualify as handsome or cool looking, though.

Then again, if Lupin the Third qualifies as a romantic comedy for you, this might as well. The levels of romance of these two animes is probably close to equal.

If you like transformation love stories then you should try Escaflowne. Maybe you've already seen it and I've missed it on your list. But I frantically scanned your list and didn't see it. But I can't read straight due to an overdose of christmas cookies.

Also Revolutionary Girl Utena is a good mix of love and action and it's funny as all hell. Excel Saga is good for laughs and for speed reading (if you're like most of us here and watch it subbed and no speakie nihongo).

Excel Saga is one of those animes where people scream a lot and it's supposed to be funny.

Watch Full Metal Panic instead.

Full Metal Panic is one of those animes where "it's okay to stalk girls."

Stick with Excel Saga.

Love Hina: the love story is ok but I thought it was pretty funny.
Ai Yori Aoshi: A sappy love story that is kept secret from most of the main characters. This leads to some pretty funny circumstances. Not quite as funny as love hina though.

@Sinisterguffaw: Please, don't toy with Afleming. She's very sensitive and Excel Saga sucking obviously means a lot to her.

yeah yeah. I know. My ears can't take all that high pitched whining for long periods of time. But something about it compels me to watch.

...so I just bought the Excel Saga box set.

You should definitely check out the first one and if it doesn't set your teeth on edge, you might enjoy the Mad Magazine-style irreverance for anything and everything, along with the parodies of different anime genres.

Then there's always Menchi, the emergency food supply.
