You probably knew that Cartoon Network was picking up One Piece and Naruto, but Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo? That's news to me, and I imagine a big surprise for most of you.
But it's in Animerica, so it has to be true.

"If an anime series could go to high school, Bobobbo-bo Bo-bobo would without a doubt be voted "Least Likely to Ever be Domesticated."
....
The titular character, who will be names here as sparingly as possible (mostly becaise it's impossible to laugh at the name), is a butt-kicking nose-hair fighter that communicates with hair follicles and contains entire worlds within his mighty afro."

It's a very cold day in Hell. From here on, absolutely anything is possible.

I'm glad they're using every means at their disposal to reach young minds... That they've had to resort to something like this points to the devaluation of education during the Reagan years, when most of today's parents were growing up... It's pretty sad....

Ahh, thanks! But Adult Swim is its own network now, you know! That's why we have the "Bling it On" commercial. Progress is sadly amusing.

I didn't know they were getting Paranoia Agent, though. I've been putting off seeing it, even though I'm interested... Maybe I can procrastinate until it actually airs, huh? Ahh, but I'll still have to rent it if the dub is bad....

GOD! All this stuff stinks! Give us at lwast one shoujo. It doesn't have to be "action" we know it's not. What happened to the good old days when cartoon network had FLCL and Big o and sailor moon, and tenchi and all this great stuff. It's going downhill.

Yeah, they are a little obsessed with the "action" thing. Seems like there's tons of good anime they could be showing. I just keep hoping they'll broaden their horizons sooner or later.

I'm sure they will sooner or later. But Adult Swim is a rather limited block, and for a long time the anime segment wasn't pulling what the comedy segment was anyway (possibly still isn't, but I haven't looked lately.)

If they expand their schedule more, I fully expect them to acquire more varied stuff.

What, someone liked Big O? wierd. I suppose I knew that, but it's still wierd.

I'm truly surprised. Maybe we'll get Ebichu, or perhaps an Eiken special next.

i dont know about that.. i think id rather have action than sailor moon and big o..

flcl was pretty sweet though.

i think adult swim is cool, but i mostly just use it for athf, sealab, and home movies.. i hate watchin random episodes of anime, so i just wait and watch it on my own.

They're all shown in sequence; you just can't miss a night, 'cus they only replay Fullmetal Alchemist and Ghost in the Shell... and only on Thursday night. Still, if you can count on having nothing to do after 11 pm on mondey, tuesday, wednesday, and saturday nights, you're just fine!

I wouldn't mind them showing some shoujo anime either, but I wonder if the rest of the audiance would agree. What would they show that would appease the established fanbase?
