Ok...I'm tech chalenged, so I use a VCR to see adult swim rather than Tivo. But I forgot to rewind, so right before a big dramatic secret was about to come out on fullmetal, the tape ran out of time. I WAS SO MAD! Any way, SPOILER it was the one where Ed was in the hosptol and Al was all banged up, and Wintry comes and Al's all mad, and you don't know why, and then tehy're on the roof and Al's all "I was never human!" And winry's all "You were so" and Eds all *pouty guilt face*. Then It died. So what happened?

Winry tried to get Al to understand that neither she nor Ed would ever try to pull any kind of deception of that sort, but he pushes her away. Ed takes things somewhat lightly, thinking that fixing Al's body will bring him back to normal, never really understanding the extent of Al's pain until it's too late (he's heroic, but often a bit stubborn as well as dense - probably why so many can relate to him). Al then knocks Ed down as he leaps from the roof and takes off for parts unknown. Winry hangs on to Ed to keep him from jumping after his brother (good thing... the fall would likely kill him) in one of the most heart-rending scenes ever, because for a while, you thought Winry just might reach Al, but after having been the voice of reason that pulled Ed from the abyss many times throughout the entire series, the writers have twisted his characterization, and he's now beyond reason, just too far gone...

Hope that helps,

Roadie.

NO! what happened? He jumped? Does he live? (Is that next eppisode?)

no, he lived - he's a living suit of armor, a little fall off a building isn't gonna do him in. He spent most of that episode without limbs; he's not so easy to kill. He'd have to fall onto something sharp that would pierce through to his soul-seal or be really, really cold and shatter on impact. So he's fine... he just ran away.... and I'm not sure if he's planning on coming back.

And by the way, young lady! What are you doing up at this hour? And since when have you been watching Adult Swim? Ooooh, there's only one thing. You're grounded, little miss! And if I hear a peep out of you before your room is clean, I'm tacking on another two weeks!

(you're what, 14 now? your icon keeps making me think you're younger. Why, when I was 14, I was already.... doing things you shouldn't be doing yet! Brush your teeth and go to bed! And no TV until your homework is done!)

I don't stay up that late. I die if I go to sleep after 9. I tape. That's the whole problem, the tape bliped. AND does Ed live (the one who's kinda hot.) what's his big dark secret?

So, which side of the earth are you on? on this side, it's 5 am, and you posted at like 2 and 4......

Unfortunately, Ed has lost his right arm and his left leg. He may never fully recover, but he's got a wonderful pair of prostetic limbs. You should see this show, it's great!
I mean, yes, Ed is fine. He didn't jump from the building! He was certainly fine when you left, and they're not gonna kill him off a few episodes from the end of the first season. That would be tricky, since they have already had so much trouble bringing people back from the dead.
And isn't Al hot? In the first episode, they're walking through a desert. Ed can sweat, but what about Al? Nope, the best he can do to keep cool is bury himself, and that's hardly productive. Al can be a lot cooler than Ed, too - but it can be dangerous if he gets too cool, but I already mentioned that.

I'm not sure if Al can really FEEL hot, unless it's hot enough to melt metal... maybe he's just hanging on to a memory of what should be hot.

WHAT'S HIS DEEP DARK SECRET? I WANNA KNOW! (about the times, I couldn't sleep, I was having a creative splurge, so I woke up and started working on my novel. I swear to god it will get published) You know, the big evil dark one he won't tell al?

He didn't say in tha last ep. Al was saying, "You were going to tell me something, but you were worried about my reaction!"
And Winry said, "No, Al! It wasn't that, it was - "
and she was rudely interrupted before revealing this secret. Look forward to the end of Episode 25 for this one, I'm sure.

Oh yeah, they re-play this episode on Thursday, you know. Be sure to tape it then, and make sure the tape has plenty of room. It's a pretty intense ending you missed (in case you didn't already get that)

He's really a girl. Well, he started out as a boy, but the human transmutation accident turned him into a girl. So he's really Al's big sis. That's why he has that wussy voice. Oh, and he somehow ended up with his mother's uterus, which is really disturbing so he doesn't want to talk about it.

Wait, I thought Al was the girl - "Alphonse", what a sissy name for a boy. Ed just made her think she was a boy because she would have been even more miserable knowing she was a girl stuck in that big, masculine suit of armor.

Bad hamano! Bad jross3! You two are going to give Cosplayer nightmeres tonight. Her folks will want to know why she woke up screaming in the middle of the night (or 9:05PM, which ever comes first), and they will learn about all those naughty S&M stuff she's been learning from GC. This will then get reported as a FOX headline new and leading to a congressional legislation prohibiting the use of naughty languages on all internet forums. Look what you have done!

NO NO NO! Don't ever let Noa hear you say crap like that, jross3.... she'll bonk you with a sake bottle or shove an electrostatic stun baton up your whatsis! The metal boy is obviously an homage to this tough champion of justice!

Just when I started looking up to you guys... the poor girl's in an emotional dither and you just twist the knife...

It's SO seventh grade... What's next?

Hamano: Hey, let's cut gym class, I ain't climbing that rope again. I got thigh burns (stolen from a Seinfeld ep!)...

jross3: O.k. I banged my shin when I fell off the parallel bars anyway...

Hamano: So, whaddaya wanna do?

jross3: Let's go drop water balloons on the girls from the balcony on the 3rd floor.

Hamano: (eyes glazing over and a sliver of drool beginning to show) I love you, man...

Hey, I'll have you know that I never dropped water balloons on girls from high places.
I did, however, fill up one of those giant foil balloons with water and throw it towards (not at, that would be dangerous!) two girls I knew from a moving jeep. That was funny as hell.

I feel for you. Our VCR setup has been broken for a long time. I think I'll end up getting a DVR receiver from Dish Network whenever (if ever) I have enough spare $
