I was browsing the recent anime releases and came across this one. The synopsis sounds intriguing. Anyone seen it? What's it like?

And for that matter, how about Planetes?

Sounds promising.

I have Gilgamesh in my rental queue but good luck trying to get it for awhile. I have heard a lot of good reviews about it. Kind of a threshold anime, animation is more realistic and the story is told without a lot of the anime cliches (or so I hear). I think Battie has watched some of it.

I've seen Volume 1. Very good stuff. I can't see 2, yet, cuz um...Funds issue. >_>

I did a review of Gilgamesh...that review is fresher than what I can recall right now, beyond being supremely annoyed that I can't see Vol. 2 for some time. >:| It's a futuristic that doesn't hinge on meccha of any kind (giant robots or cyborgs). The animation style is very different; more realistic, as shiori said. Ummm...man, I just liked it, what can I say?

Plus, the plot promises to be very interesting. ^_^
