Any favorites we're missing (of the ones that have a legit DVD release)?
I think of series Haibane Renmei is still my all-time favorite. Kaze No Yojimbo is a favorite, too. Great lists. I need to see more of these. |

It's on order so you can exhale ;-) Definitely want to carry that one here. There will be plenty of happy people when we get it in stock. Cheers. |

Nana was a mis-paste. I meant to paste an AniDB link. Here.
But yes...Red Garden (just came out), the third Ayakashi dvd (which came out about three weeks ago) and the Kikoushi Enma dvds (which you have as requests but I'm the only one who has watched an OVA, as far as I know). :)
The only thing I'm surprised you don't have is Mushishi, given how much talk it got last year.
As for Wonderful Days/Sky Blue...can't even find a dvd on Amazon, though I could swear I saw it once in Blockbuster several years ago. I know you can find English-subbed dvds through online anime retailers...Very weird. Licensed (or at least released in the US - I remember it being in theaters), but no mainstream DVD. It's a pity, because the movie was beautiful. Very good eye-candy. Puts flicks like Appleseed '05 and the FF movies to shame. |

We actually have Mushi-shi on order, and it has been for awhile (darn those vendors). But we're definitely getting it. It's been listed as request 'til then. Heard great things... |

I was looking at my request list and noticed that Ah! My Goddess, Vol. 6 is still up there, even though the DVD has been out for over a year now!
Come on underdog, don't listen to those AMG_TV bashers (*caugh*hamano*caugh*). It is a great series and we want to see The Last Dance.

There's no need to fear, AMG6 is almost here! It's on order, any way. We know that sometimes anime on order seems to have to come by way of raft from Japan but hopefully relatively soon. Thanks!

| Hey, have any of you seen Origin: Spirits of the Past? Read good things but not from anyone directly I know. We just got it in stock here. The synopsis makes it sound touchy feely but it's probably better than that. |

Also called Gin`iro no Kami no Agito. It was discussed some last year...mostly me looking for the OP (which, along with Lilium and Paradise Kiss's Op, is my favorite OP). It wasn't as eye-popping as a lot of anime 'big' movies, but it wasn't without. :) I liked it.
I think someone else didn't. Can't remember why. It's not touchy-feely, but the overt environmentalist stance may make more than a few of us Americans roll our eyes. Fluff movie still. :) |

| The environmental theme makes me happy, actually. :-) (As long as it's not too boring about it) Does sound a bit like some of Miyazaki, and probably not as good, but worth a watch to be sure. Thanks. |

Nah, not the least bit like Miyazaki. As for the environmentalism...it's more of using the stance to further the plot. Pretty classic "humans destroyed the world, yada yada." But it's pretty (I do love eye-candy) and interesting.
Wonderful Days would beat it on both counts, however. |

Ive seen origin spirits of the past, its actually something something agito in Japan.
Anyway it and wonderful days both have really great visuals but both are really really really supremely stupid in terms of plot.
Wonderful days is slightly better, Agito just completely sucks but both have their uses if you have to test out your HDTV. |

More than ten months has passed and still no Gunbuster or Gunbuster2. I'm seriously depressed because I have ran out of anime series and even hentai titles to rent from GC. (Just rented my first "Girls Gone Wild" video. That demonstrates how desperate I am) |

Hello NLee! We will be picking up Gunbuster 1 this month, but Gunbuster Vol 2 parts 1 and 2 will have to remain as is since they're now unavailable from the manufacturer (since the Geneon/Funimation takeover).
We'll pick up Vol. 2 as soon as we can! |
