Missing Volumes of Series?

Machaelle	post #1  on December 3, 2007 - 12:43 AM PST   I was writing on another thread about the number of new Anime series that seem to be missing from the GreenCine line-up. Now I'm starting to see some of them showing up but in sort of random fashion. Best example: You can rent volumes 2 and 4 of Mushishi but volumes 1 and 3 can only be requested. What's the thinking here? How is a series supposed to generate interest if viewers can't start at the beginning? Is volume 1 of Le Chevalier D'eon still AWOL? I know I can rent volume 2 but it's just not the same that way. Anobody else notice randomly missing volumes or any other missing series???

Volume number three is only Requestable. Too bad for me that it's the next one I need.

Request Mushi-shi Vol. 1 (Hey why can't we standardize the titles to either Mushi-shi OR Mushishi? Screws up the search engine.) Request Mushishi Vol. 3 Request Le Chevalier D'Eon vol. 3 I didn't think much of Chevalier after slogging through the first bunch of episodes, but the uniform excellence of Mushishi more than makes up for Chevalier's failings.

We do plan on carrying the complete series for Mushi-Shi and Chevalier, but have been changing the volumes from "request" to available for rent as we receive them. We've changed it so that all copies are for rent, and we'll ship these titles out as soon as we receive the inventory. We've changed the Mushi-Shi catalog entries to list the title with the dash in between, but searching for "Mushishi" will produce the same results. Thanks for the lookin' out, guys!

My problem with Blockbuster is scrolling up and down and paging back and forth as the volume sequence is scrambled due to a wide variation of of a single title.
JAdams2	post #6  on January 26, 2008 - 7:19 PM PST   I enjoyed "Air TV" Vol.1, but Vols. 2 and 3 are only available for request (which is weird since you can rent Vol. 4). I'd also like to see Vol.2 of "The Story of Saiunkoku."

Unfortunately, The Story of Saiunkoku Vol. 2 is out of print :( But we'll put it up and make it "request" for now. We'll keep an eye out for it and pick it up if/when the studio releases more copies.

Unfortunately, as mentioned elsewhere, the earlier installments of Anime series can be difficult to get a hold of. Even from Amazon, ordered full price. We'll switch them over from "request" as soon as they come in.
