These forums seem kinda dead, but here goes anyways...
I came to GreenCine from Netflix mostly on the (seeming) strength of their back catalog. But I've noted since I've joined that they don't seem to be getting a lot of the new releases. For example:
* Evangelion 2.22 * Angel Beats * Dance in the Vampire Bund * Highschool of the Dead * Eden of the East * Wagnaria!! (Working!!) * Spice and Wolf
Most of these aren't even listed for request.
Is there still much of an anime-focused community here to provide them with an incentive to pick these up, or has the flight to torrenting killed it? |

Hi Rhyslin, welcome! We have been getting less anime lately since there's not a huge demand for them... my guess is your hypothesis about torrenting is true, plus a lot of the series are available free via streaming. Let me see what I can do about these requests and I'll get back to you! |

Still no Angel Beats, Evangelion 2.22, or Eden of the East. Even for some anime titles that you can request, it's obvious they will never be ordered (some are now out of print). I know some anime titles are available online, but they don't contain the extras, bonus features, or convinience that comes with a DVD. Is the lack of demand you mentioned also the reason why some (most) of the titles in my queue seem to be permanently set to Red, Orange, Yellow, or Blue availability? |

It is amazing. I have pretty much had ot give up on selecting new titles as they pop up non-Green and never change.
Heck, that goes for many old titles as well.
Been a member for 7+ years and I have 100+ titles that have been on my list that have never changed color in all that time. |

I know what you mean; I've had titles on my queue for years that I still haven't seen (and probably never will). Maybe the previously stated lack of demand for anime is because users realized that older and popular titles are hard to get, and new ones aren't being ordered. Kinda puts us between a rock and a hard place... |
