I first saw this movie as a young child. It probably should have damaged my impressionable little mind but I think it made me laugh.

Blood Diner Here is info from IMDB. Looks like it is not on DVD though. I did see it but remember very little. It was kinda like a Troma movie - pretty bad.

The scene where he runs that guy down and then backs up, rolls over again, and backs up repeatedly was great.

I must've walked past that movie a million times when I worked at Blockbuster, but I never thought to rent it. I think if I ever find myself at a blockbuster again (or if it should ever see a DVD release) I'll check it out.

Wow, another fellow "blockbuster" employee.. tell me it didn't suck working there? Anyway, wasn't my point, BLOOD DINER if I'm not mistaken was directed and produced by a bunch of Asian guys. I suppose it's worth the rent if it's on DVD UNCUT but not at your local video store. Nothing really "orignal" here. More in the vein of "Blood Feast" except much better production value.

I guess that's why it was originally going to be called "Blood Feast 2." I still wanna see it.

And yeah. I worked at BBV for 2 long years, mostly as an ass manager. and yeah. It sucked. The employees were cool though.

Damn upper management. They'll screw ya every time.

Of course, now there really is a sequel to Blood Feast. I give you Blood Feast 2: All U Can Eat!!

I came across at at Blockbuster of all places! It's still a new release. I'll have to have a Blood Feast Fest one of these days.

But it looks like GC doesn't carry it right now. Looks like I'll have to send an email!

It's been awhile but if I'm not mistaken the story went something like this:

2 brothers grow up in a twisted house without a dad after he massacres a bunch of people and comes running home with his genitalia cut off in his hand.

The kids grow up and open a vegitarian diner, and look like typical 80's dudes. But they secretly worship a demon deity named Shitar. They kill women and chop up the body parts to reassemble the perfect pieces from each victim until they have a frankenstein hotty for Shitar to possess.

I couldn't stop laughing when they took the unused body parts and used them in the "vegitarian" food at the diner and people just ate it not noticing.

The description sounds like a dark horror movie but it's done with comedy and kitch a'la popcorn and scream.

I had the um, pleasure of seeing this masterpiece. H.G. Lewis returns and helms the direction and he hasn't changed. It's pure kitsch. You really have to "get it" to actually watch the thing from start to finish. It's pretty funny. The gore flows pretty rapidly and the script is terriable.

I wouldn't suggest renting it at BLOCKBUSTER because they put out two versions.. A rated single disc and an uncut double disc... It's not "blockbuster" friendly..

Ah! Well perhaps I'll have to send another email suggesting they carry the "non-bbv friendly" version.

I'm not sure the movie I'm thinking of was blood feast. The plot of that movie sounds similar to it but it was made in 1963. The movie I'm thinking of featured 80's haircuts, bad 80's music, and leotards. It couldn't have been made in 63.

Actually I found it on IMDB.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092669/

It was made in 1987 and directed by Jackie Kong.

Plot Summary for
Blood Diner (1987)

Two cannibals/health food diner owners are on a wacky quest to restore life to the five million year old goddess Shita. Aided by their uncle's brain and penis, the two set about getting the required parts - virgins, assorted body parts from whores, and the ingredients for a "blood buffet". Their adversaries are the police: the chief with a russian accent, the "player" detective, and the new Yorker with an Australian accent.

Perhaps this is a re-make of blood feast?

Blood Diner was originally going to be called Blood Feast 2, or so they say, but someone had a change of heart. I still need to see Blood Diner. Sounds great!

Blood Diner is a great little trashy B-movie. Haven't seen it in years, I'll have to see if it's available on GC.

I'm acquainted with the guy who wrote it, Michael Sonye (a.k.a Dukey Flyswatter). His credentials should be impressive to any fan of trash cinema: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0814516/
