Maybe some of you can help me out. I am trying to remember a movie that I only have a vague recollection of, yet I want to see it again.
It is a horror movie.
It is in black and white and was probably made in the 50's or 60's.
It has something to do with an abandoned town that a group of people enter via a dirt road after driving through a thick fog. Inside the town there is no one alive accept for some demon-like creatures. The protagonists also find an old manuscript written sometime in the 18th or 19th century, telling the story of capturing one of the creatures and attempting to domesticate it.
In the end, one of the main characters manages to escape and make it back through the fog and on to a main road, and flags down a police car. However, the police drive him back in the the town. The movie ends with the two police officers looking back from the front seats of the vehicle and we see that they now have demonic faces with pointy teeth.

Could it be the third story from this omnibus feature?
The Monster Club
If not, maybe you can remember...
Was it English, American or other? Was it a big group of people who entered the town? How many people? How old were they? How did they get there? Or was it just one person? Was there a love story between the main character and one of the other characters? Could it have been an episode from a TV show? Did you see it in a theater or on TV? When did you see it? |

Also sounds kinda like Silent Hill but that's a NEW movie...
Do you remember what the monsters looked like? Were they humanoid, reptilian, winged, slimy, four-legged, bipedal, tail-less, clothed, naked???? |

I'm pretty sure you're right. Today I was thinking about it, and it did seem possible that it could be an episode from a TV, or, as it turned it out, part of an anthology film. I remember the Monster Club being on TV a lot when I was kid.
Thanks! I was just mistaken when I thought the film was in black and white and from the 50's of 60's. And, yes, It does sound a lot like Silent Hill.

Ah, another satisfied customer... where're my kickbacks, weezy?
Oh, and if you wish to check for sure, Monster Club is available for rent apparently. |
