will the young turks of mexican cinema
split for hollywood at the first opportunity

I suspect that Mexico's proximity to California will assure that all the mexican talent with mainstream aspirations (like Robert Rodriguez) will go Hollywood. Maybe they can go back and forth like Alfonso Cuaron (When will 'Love in the Time of Hysteria' be available on DVD?).

I understand that 'Amores Perros' director Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu is currently working on a movie with Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro, and Naomi Watts.

south americans are getting awfully uppity, though. it might be a great time to build a more artful film industry in the south and reach out with movies toward a more dignified life.
