Anchor Bay began releasing the Wim Wenders Collection this month, with The American Friend, Lightning Over Water and Notebook on Cities and Clothes.

David, I can happily report that The American Friend DVD is gorgeous and that Robby Müller's cinematography looks exceptionally well on this transfer. The extras included are 36 minutes of deleted scenes with commentary by Wim Wenders, and the film includes commentary by Wenders and Dennis Hopper.

There is little indication of Wings of Desire is slated for release here soon, but as you know, it's already available in Europe.

i'm dying to see Wings of Desire on DVD... there is SO much documentary material they could draw on for insight into Wim... if they could get it.
