dpowers	post #2  on January 20, 2003 - 3:05 PM PST   reviews i've read make seidl sound like someone with one hand pointed toward michael haneke and the other toward larry clark. this by david hudson on GC: The Austrian film Hundestage/Dog Days is probably the most daring of the bunch and was evidently quite an exhausting shoot. Some consider the film ruthlessly nihilistic, but if so, it certainly isn't in the "usual" Eurofilm way. If you're looking for something different, here you go. dog days played here last weekend but i had something else scheduled.

I think if we turn up the fun quotient of that assessment a notch or two, we just might have nailed him.
