We're adding some new genres and subgenres to the GreenCine site over the coming weeks, and first up, our neighbors to the north: Canada.
A number of incredibly talented filmmakers and performers have come from the Great White North. Who are some of your favorites?
(Some good TV shows up in Canada, too.) |

And, no, we're not done fleshing out this category yet. But feel free to suggest titles or request those we don't yet have. We're already ordering a few as we speak.

| Wow, IMDB shows that my favorite Canadian director, David Cronenburg has about bunch of films that he did before "The Brood", which is the earliest I have seen. Does Greencine have all of the Cronenburg that it can get? |

I'd like to remind everyone that Bollywood Hollywood is listed as Indian/Bollywood, but it's ACTUALLY a Canadian film! Director Deepa Mehta's later film, Water, was set in India but it was CANADA's official entry in the Oscars!
Bollywood Hollywood costar Jessica Pare made out with Ugly Coyote Piper Perabo in a fine Canadian lesbo coming-of-age film called Lost and Delirious, which also starred Mischa Barton a couple of years after her turn as the nauseous ghost in The Sixth Sense. |

| Don't forget all the fine animated shorts from the National Film Board of Canada. Hopefully this particular DVD will be someday reissued... |

You've got The Fast Runner, but how about Nanook of the North and Never Cry Wolf?
Don't forget Toronto's Second City Troupe! SCTV 5 volumes. Harold Ramis, Eugene Levy, John Candy, Catherine O'Hara, Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis! |
