Hey there. Did anyone see Frankenstein on the USA network on Sunday evening?
Parker Posey was the absolute WRONG choice for the lead role. I just wanted to throw my TV out the window seeing her trying to act, not to mention act like a "tough chick". She should just stick to funny roles like the one in 'Best in Show'. Adam Goldberg as her witty sidekick also was a bit annoying but could have worked with another person taking Posey's place. Vincent Perez as a new version of "Frank" was very good. I like his acting and somehow.. he was still a cutie!
Anyone else see it?

I'd be interested in hearing any reviews.
I just watched the old Hammer production of The Curse of Frankenstein. |

I thought it was surprisingly good, or at least better than I expected, better than the average USA movie (damning with faint praise). I like Parker Posey a lot but agree she was seriously miscast - I can't picture her as a cop for the life of me. Everyone else was fine. The atmosphere, and the Nawlins setting, worked well for this modern-goth take on the Frankenstein idea, but it did get a little too atmospheric for its own good, lingering too long on murky, dark interior shots. I was also frustrated by the open-ended finale, leading to what I assume will be a series? Give me a break.
Still, a good attempt, worth watching when they rerun it. I give it a 6 outta 10.
