The new show "Death Clock Metalocalypse" premiered tonight; I'm liking it so far. They rock in a hard kind of way. Hard like metal.

The new season of The Venture Brothers (the first season is on DVD, everyone e-mail GC request (I bought it though)) is even better than the first. "Assassinanny" has to be my favorite ep so far.

Any other fans of Adult Swim's original programming?

That sounds like something they just had on Black Lagoon, "Assassinanny"... was she wearing a French maid uniform?

Oh Yeah!

The Venture Bros. (particularly episodes with The Monarch... genius!)
Harvey Birdman (Gary Cole does a fantastic job as Harvey)
Family Guy (of course)

Lucy, Daughter of the Devil and Boondocks. :P Robot Chicken was okay for a while. Oh! And Moral Orel. I missed Metalpocalypse. :(

Moral Orel is growing on me; at first (their christmas special/pilot ep) I didn't like it much at all, but I kept watching it anyway. I wonder what's wrong with me. heheh
Robot Chicken has been sagging a bit this season. It's still the same show, but that's kind of the problem: more of the same. If anything, the new season's greatest leap forward over the first season is that it has grossed me out more than ever ("Golden Girls in the City" anyone?). My favorite bits are still the Final Fantasy Fast Food one and the "Dragonball Z Christmas" one ("What are Composite Santa's powers?" "I don't know, but he creeps me right the **** out!")

Lucy looks great so far, but my favorite new show is definately Metalocalypse; here's the first half of ep. 1 for those that missed it (there should be a link to the second half from there).
Korgath's pilot ep came out a while back. Am I the only one who wasn't impressed? (but they can't all be hits... I'm looking at you, Tom Goes to the Mayor.)

Quite So! I have never seen the appeal or humor in Tom Goes to the Mayor. I would bet that since the animation is incredibly cheap/crude that the show can't cost more than the bar napkins that the animators steal to produce the show (which can only help them from being canceled... cuz' is certainly ain't the humor!). The show is as entertaining as a 13 yr. old copy of Highlights in a dentist's office (especially if the hidden items have already been circled by some lame kid with crayon).

So, I guess one might say I don't care for the show that much :)

Agreed!! And I know someone else who absolutely despises that show. Like I've said before, the creators must be related to the execs!

I'm a total AS junkie. Well, maybe not total, but we do watch a lot of it here. We enjoyed the new Metalocalypse (how do you say that), although it took me most of the epiosde to understand them. We actually had close captions on for a bit. I mostly like AS's anime, although we'll watch most of the stuff they show. We're huge Venture Bros (own it) and Aqua Teen (own 3 of 4 seasons) fans too. But I must say, I'm getting really sick of Family Guy.

If you want to check out Metalocalypse or other stuff, try the Adult Swim Fix - http://www.adultswim.com/adultswimfix/index.jsp. Streaming 24 hours a day. I guess they've got the whole first season of Robot chicken up this week too. I know last week they had a ton of Aqua teen and Harvey Birdman. A couple animes on there too.

I laughed my a** off at the Final Fantasy one. That one was just perfect. The DBZ one was pretty entertaining too.

It used to be when I tune in to Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, I can expect to see shows such as "Ghost in the Shell SAC" or "Paranoia Agents". Shows that provide entertainment while treating the audience as grown-ups.

Nowadays, Adult Swim is full of crappy "original" programmings that have somethings in common:
1. Cheap animation
2. Ugly Characters
3. Dumb jokes

So, I must be the only one around here who absolutely despise Adult Swim's original programming.

Maybe I should wait for Cartoon Network to come up with "Senior Citizen Swim".

that's pretty fair... the only AS originals that don't have all three of those are The Boondocks and The Venture Brothers. (Futurama and Family guy don't count because they're not AS originals, have ugly characters, and are full of dumb jokes).

12-oz Mouse, Squidbillies, Tom Goes to the Mayor, that horrible "Boo Boo Goes Wild" thing they showed 16 weeks in a row, Perfect Hair Forever.... it doesn't end. The least I can say for those (except Boo Boo Goes Wild) is that they have a fairly original concept. But 12-oz Mouse looked like it had been done on notebook paper. By a crack-starved 12-year-old that could barely see. I still kinda liked it... kinda.. not much. I only watched it while I waited for good shows to come on.

Eh...Venture Brothers has some pretty infantile jokes, too, though it's more "sophisticated" than the rest. Honestly, though I like Moral Orel and Lucy - Daughter of the Devil (that ONE episode), I'm not trippy over them. But I think Boondocks is gold and fairly good looking besides. Most of the rest of AS programming, except for Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Space Ghost Coast to Coast (which they no longer air), is trash.

I used to watch Space Ghost Coast to Coast and now every once in a looong while I'd watch Venture Brothers, but that's it. Otherwise, I avoid all the other non-anime Adult Swim programming.

They have a network just for cartoons now? Oy.

Floatings too vigorous. Let's try aquatic walking.
