Horror fans: Do not miss this one. (It opens here in SF on Friday. Probably not in theaters long before it comes to DVD sometime soon after.) It's just creepy as hell, very effective set in the 80s chiller with 80s vibe to it too, but very well made. It's not the funhouse ride that Drag Me to Hell is but every bit as scary.

I really want to see this, with a supporting cast that includes Tom Noonan, Mary Woronov and Greta Gerwig, and having the whole thing set in the 80s -- it just sounds like crazy fun.

I'm still trying to decide how "fun" it is, but it was definitely well done, and even subtle (at least compared to "modern" horror). It's an homage that doesn't wink at you about it, a la Scream, etc. Review soon... hope you get to see it!

(I noticed it's also available on my local cable system's on demand offerings...)
