The SF Fetish Ball is this March 6th 7th and 8th. According to the website, "Our theme this year is based on a 1927 silent science-fiction film created by famed Austrian-German director, Fritz Lang. Metropolis is set in the year 2026, in the extraordinary Gothic skyscrapers of a corporate city-state, the Metropolis of the title."

Now this is something I'd want to check out. I went to Erotica LA this year and thought it was pretty interesting, but lacked a visual impact - too much Club Jenna and red and black and techno music everywhere. It sounds like this event spent more time developing an interesting theme and features performers more into their respective niches.

I heard about another interesting "Sex Worker's Art Show" from our lovely member BIrish of Film and Destroy, but I didn't get a chance to check it out. Anyone get to catch any exhibitions like this lately?

I'm definitely interested in checking this out. I'm going to try to drag my roommate along. Metropolis is probably at the top of the list of my favorite movies.

So. I gotta full tank a gas and I just washed my car. Who's road trippin with me??

Of course I meant "of gas".

Stupid no editing.

And "Metropolis" fetishism sounds way cool. I know a lot of people panned Metropolis (Moroder Edition) (1984) but I really enjoyed it, especially the climax with that Pat Benetar song.

Theses are hard days for an ole socialist.
