Very funny, very good that they brought up the topic of Christianity and the absurdities in a PC way. There is no Oscar here, but worth the watch.

I haven't seen the trailer yet. The time is ripe for an evangelical Christian comedy, since the POTUS is one.

Interestingly enough... Mandy Moore is in it, and plays the "self-righteous and hypocritical" girl. Mandy Moore in actuality is a Catholic, but an open-minded and liberal one (relatively, haha). According to interviews, she does not Catholicism as the "only" true faith, as many other Catholics do. Her early film A Walk to Remember clearly shows support for faith in God -- Protestant or Catholic.

Maybe I'm just deluded, but Mandy always struck me as very thoughtful and conscientious. Perhaps her willingness to play this character is guided by her understanding that the image that Christians show to the rest of the world is important -- and that it has taken a large turn for the worse in recent years.
