Given GreenCine is one of the sponsors of GodzillaFest, I think you'll see a few GC worker bees making an appearance there, too.

Make sure you yell out your screen names! I'm getting in the car this weekend to drive across Jesusland. I am a big Godzilla fan, but I need to get out of here, too. Big election hangover.

| Patrick Macias, in the SFBay Guardian, has an awesome write-up on all the films playing in the 'ZillaFest. |

It was more fun bein' there last night. Russ Tamblyn was an excellent guest...he was funny and answered every question with another great story. Very cool. And Godzilla suit actor turned monster action director Tsutomo Kitagura was fairly entertaining as well. He threatened the translator if he didn't translate every word exactly as said. Yep, my first night at Godzilla Fest was good.
The movies? Oh yeah, they were monster movies! I'd never seen "War of the Gargantuas". It's always best to see this stuff with a crowd. The movies were fun. Can't wait to see the H-Man, I've never seen that, either. |

Anybody know about the original cut of the original Godzilla movie coming out to DVD? I didn't see it in the theaters, figuring who wants to pay all that money, but even though a bunch of the DVDs came out recently, the original cut original wasn't one of them.

H-man: Not what I expected. Lack of any editing made it tedious. It still had its moments.
Mothra: My first monster movie when I was a kid. Still great.
Tokyo SOS: My friends liked it, but it didn't really do it for me. Not really anything new there.
Tonight: Monster Zero. I love Monster Zero. Doesn't everyone? Can't wait.
The best parts of this festival is really the guests...they've been very gracious and funny. Jerry Ito and Hiroshi Koizuma were the outstanding guests last night. I'll finally see Akira Kubo either today at the Japan Town Mall, or tonight at Monster Zero.
Ok, I'm done torturing you all this morning. |

It's still playing in theaters.
*I* drove four hours to Saint Louis this summer, just so I could see it on a big screen. |
