I prefer the image of Michael Moore as protraited in "Team America".

That is interesting. So how do you feel about the term "manufacturing dissent"? Is that a negative or positive thing?

Does GC have this? Well, I guess it's not on DVD...

It's a dig, but it sounds like it's potentially justified. If he's selectively showing one side, especially if he claims he offered to let the other side have it's say... he deserved to be held to at least the standard he sets.

I was hoping, by mentioning it here, Craig or somebody would pop in and say, guess what? We're interviewing them :)

I'm in my anti-Moore phase right now. I mean the guy is amusing. The guy is clever. The guy is smart. The guy is *RIGHT*. (That is to say I agree with him 100%) But the guy isn't an objective, fair, or balanced debater! He picks and choses and stages his arguments, cherry-picks his strawman arguments.

I've argued with people who say it doesn't matter; the passion and humor are more valid criteria for impassioned plea than rules of objectivity. I argued faulty rhetoric devices make an argument easy to pick apart and make the stance weak.

To which the reply is but he's motivating people. In other words, he's "Manufacturing Dissent". And, well, in these political climes that's good thing.

But, sheesh, when it's sooo easy to fault backlash is inevitable. Sigh, I just wish he'd be more objective (one can be biased and objective, and being biased isn't a bad thing when you are right) than humorous. Or let Al Franken do his arguing for him.

Well, that he actually interview Roger wassisface but didn't like the footage so choose to film him being denied an interview is .... well, it's lying, isn't it?
