FGaipa	post #1  on August 9, 2009 - 6:14 PM PDT   Can anyone tell me which, if any, theaters in SF will be showing the general release this Friday of Ponyo in subtitled Japanese? I have no intention of watching it my first time in English. Timing matters. My only computer's power supply is probably failing, and I'd like to know which Ponyo venue before I take it apart or to a shop. fg

FGaipa	post #3  on August 9, 2009 - 8:56 PM PDT   Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, and Mononoke Hime, unless I'm badly mistaken all had opening day subtitled screenings. Either the Chronicle listings or the paid ads noted "(subtitled)" wherever it was. May even have been one of the Metreon screens.
