| Just my two cents but I'd like to see GC spend their resources on getting more copies of movies and less on old television shows. |

I'm for both: th' wife and I have a queue that's about one half to two thirds movies, the rest various tv things (British stuff, anime, etc.). If anything, GC could get more copies of some tv shows: it feels like we're never going to see Ultraviolet.
(Though something else might be going on there: is Disc 1 MIA or something? It seems to be always red; disc 2 is always green. Both have sat at the top of our queue in a personal series for months.)

| TV shows is one of the main reasons I joined here. If all I wanted was movies, I'd have joined NetFlix instead. |

| Since most of the anime are TV shows, I vote for more TV! We're not here to rent the latest blockbusters!!! More TV and more copies of TV titles! |

And the reason I joined GC instead of Netflix is the Independent film titles, not old TV shows.

| More movie titles, yes, absolutely, however the more the diversity, the more satisfaction all the way around. |

Ooh, how do you like your love Ooh, how do you like your love
But if you want to know How I really feel Just get the cameras rolling Get the action going Baby you know my love for you is real Take me where you want to Then my heart you'll steal
More, more, more How do you like it, how do you like it More, more, more How do you like it, how do you like it More, more, more How do you like it, how do you like it
Ooh, how do you like your love Ooh, how do you like your love
And if you want to know What it means to me Just hear the rhythm grooving Get your body moving Baby you know my love for you is true Any time you want to Do what you gotta do
More, more, more How do you like it, how do you like it More, more, more How do you like it, how do you like it More, more, more How do you like it, how do you like your love
Baby you know my love for you is real Take me where you want to Then my heart you steal |

I actually prefer a lot of the TV show stuff. I already have a vast collection of movies on VHS. The TV show stuff is often made-for-rent because how many people really need Gilligan's Island box sets in their living room for that "repeated viewing." It's like BUYING The Anna Nicole Smith show on DVD. Why?
If Greencine keeps offering the stuff the other major players don't carry, it's worth keeping my membership. That is the niche they need to compete. |

I'm not here to rent the latest blockbusters" either but maybe if Greencine spent more money on movies and less on TV programs people would not have long queues filled with red availability lines. I do not include anime in the same catagory as TV shows. While they do not appeal to me they are still movies. Old "Gunsmoke" TV shows are not what I pay a membership for and please don't hand me that crap about "if you don't like it join Netflix". That line is the stock answer to anyone who dares not approve of everything GC does. I am a fan on Independent movies and that is why I pay my money each month to keep this service alive.

More than the greatest love the world has known this is the love I'll give to you alone. More than the simple words I try to say I only live to love you more each day...
More than you'll ever know my arms long to hold you so, my life will be in your keeping waking.. sleeping... laughing... weeping....
Longer than always is a long long time but far beyond forever you'll be mine, I know I never lived before and my heart is very sure no one else could love you more.
I know I never lived before And my heart is very sure No one else could love you more
I know I never lived before And my heart is very sure No one else could love you more |

An I am a fan of anime, and some are a fan of old TV shows. Incidently like 90% of anime is TV shows (just in Japan)! And my fiancee likes anime and indies. And others like old 60's films. This is what greencine is about, carrying a lot of niches and hard-to-get stuff. It's not called INDIE-CINE! :D

I appreciate what you're saying but the sad truth is that if Greencine thinks they are going to carry "every" DVD and "every" TV show they are kidding themselves. I would hate to see them reach a point where they are spread so thin that they are not doing anything well.
GC does not have the financial resources of Netflix. Trying to be all-things-to-all-people is a very expensive goal.

Oh, they'll be able to afford it if the porn side of the business takes off. That's one area where there's no competition from Nflix or Wlmart. |
