this is a continuation of a recent post that many may not have viewed as it has "ADULT DVD's in it's title (or been attracted to it maybe) but it effects everyone "Cheap DVD's only".

numerous issues were brought up such as GC will not purchase DVD's that are not "cost effective". this is a very practical business model. my concern is that such a descision is predicated upon the REQUEST button. more later on this issue.

if my read on this is correct, GC utilizes the REQUEST list as a means of purchasing. thats as it should be.

ok, now how do we know what there is available to request? the daily MAIN PAGE, YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS, EDITORS TOP LIST, NEW TO GC or the weekly COMING SOON?

this is but the tip of the iceburg for what they have in wait with the lil orange/yellow REQUEST button. this i know for a fact spending hours a week to update an anime list.

my "REQUEST" is that there is a "repository" where "REQUESTS" can be viewed to opt for. conversly in ADVANCED SEARCH or genre, include a button (option) to "VIEW REQUESTS.

this can be accomplished in ADVANCED SEARCH if there were an option akin to "DISPLAY ADULT TITLES" (i.e., "DISPLAY REQUESTS") and select the genre. done.... only the REQUESTS available per genre to view and help GC make the money for what we want.

Not a bad idea. This would call attention to those request titles that will probably get enough hits to warrant adding to the catalog and the process will happen quicker.

But it would also reinforce the popularity contest aspect to choosing, and those that didn't show up on the list would remain "hidden".

If someone is dying to see what request titles are floating around, then the easiest method (user wise, can't say programming wise) would seem to be to have a link while searching through genres. Which I believe is what AAcevedo has already suggested.

Oddly enough, this was our intention all along. Expect to finally see this feature (or something quite like it) in the weeks ahead.
