Ok, this is really minor, but also, something that would be pretty useful. Could we get the color bars on the pages for the discs themselves? As it is, if I'm looking at something and want to know if it really exists (as opposed to the horror of red bar limbo) we have to add it to our queue first. It would be nice to have the current availability show up when you're looking at the disc itself.

Of course, it would also be pretty nice if GC could run an inventory check and verify which of those red bar discs are lost, missing, and broken and which are just in very high demand. Then again, you guys are pretty busy (I hope) trying to improve shipping times to the Bay Area still.

We actually have been running constant zero inventory checks over the past few weeks. You should ideally be seeing less and less of the evil red in your queue, already, and more and more in future weeks.

We also update inventory statuses once or twice a day so the color bars change up to twice a day. I'm not sure how useful it would be to have color bars on product (DVD) pages. That said, I'll see what other people think of your idea, rather than dismissing it. Maybe other GC-ers and other staffers think differently. Keep those ideas coming! We're making a list (and checking it twice).

Add me to the list of people who would like to see the color bars on the DVD description page. It **is** frustrating to get excited about a film, only to see once it's in your queue that it's redlined. I will agree, the number of reds have decreased...but it seems the number of yellows and oranges have increased. I've had four movies at the top of my queue now for over a month that I haven't been able to get (Weeds Season Two, Premonition, Maxed Out). Some, like Escape To Witch Mountain and Return To Witch Mountain have been orange and red forever and have NEVER been green. My queue has 8 red movies out of 180+ which isn't bad, but I have a TON of orange and yellows.

I don't think the color bar on the page is going to be that helpful, but whatever. What I would like to see is a note saying yes, you rented this already, what, can't you remember? :) This has been requested before, but since you have a new list...

Seems lame ("Why would you forget you had rented a movie?") but I have to say, me too. I could *really* use something like that. It's embarrassing, but yeah, I forget I've rented a movie.

"Did I stop with season 3 disc 4, or season 4 disc 3, last year?"

Or if it's Stargate "Have was that season 8, 9 or 10 that I last saw...."

It's a thought. Do we really need it? It's not too difficult to check availability by adding a title to your queue. There's no need in slowing down GreenCine's site by requesting information that isn't necessary. I don't think any of GreenCine's competitors do it either.

I have trouble keeping track of my rentals as well. It's difficult keeping almost 2,000 rentals fresh in my memory. I just keep a list of what I've rented. One of GreenCine's competitors has this feature except it useless on serials: They only inform you that you rented the series (not which volume).

So does anyone use their Rental History page? Is that useful?

Would it be more useful if it were more sortable? (i.e., alphabetical, your rating, etc, instead of just by order rented)

I want to be able to view my COMPLETE rental history in one page, or at least save it into a file. The way it is right now, I have to search through 12 pages of rental history in order to find out whether I have ever rented "Adventures of Assman #38", which is a pain in the butt.

Speaking of availability, what I've always wondered is why everyone loves Robocop so much that it's on red? I mean, ok, so it says it's OOP, but didn't a new version just come out? Is there a secret cult of Robocop fans here hidden away somewhere? It just seems so... odd.

Don't you worry, RoboCop-ians! Copies are on order as we speak.

Excuse me, I have to go. Somewhere there is a crime happening.
