I've got 43 titles in my wish list, most of which have been there since the day I joined the site. Do a lot of people have to request the title before it's considered for purchase? I know that most of my titles are ones that were in my queue when I was with Blockbuster.com, but weren't available to rent here.

(Just want to be clear.) It really varies, but we definitely look first at the # of people who've requested a title. If one person's requested something, we're less likely to get it. BUT we also use our own judgment, looking at titles that we feel clear we should have available. As far as how often, well, lately it's been quite frequently, we've been running reports on top requested titles often, and so a lot of you should be seeing at least some of your requests popping up for rent now. But with thousands of request titles and with some of those not all that popular we have to be sort of methodical about it. That said, we'd be happy to take a look at your request list on Monday just to see if there's anything that we can clearly add soon. Thanks for asking!
