Strangely, I've had open slots the last 3 days and nothing has gone out to me. It's still early today I suppose, but with plenty of greens in my queue it seems unusual, especially since a couple DVDs were received.

Holy cow! I thought it was just me!!

I've had an open slot since Monday and was just about to write an email asking if anyone was awake at GC...

I'm having the same problem.Been over 48 hours myself.The one email i got from support about this says "Please note, as stated on the site, Quick Return guarantees that after two shipping days have passed we will ship your next available, regardless of whether or not we've received the QR'd title yet."

Didn't respond when I replied the site says within 48 hours, not after.All I can figure is holiday backup.

I am on the east coast as well, so with the holiday next week it's looking like a week+ wait between movies even with quick return.

"Next rental shipped in two shipping days" for me meant my next title should have left on Thursday... It didn't, nor on Friday, either. And GC doesn't ship on Saturday, meaning it will be 5 days waiting for a Send (assuming anybody is even working on the 31st!).

To say this is not a good turn of events is a vast understatement.

Sent an email again this morning.Will post the response when/if I get one. I quick returned on the 27th, it is the 29th now.Nothing sent out yet.I'm on the east coast.So that means I am definately going to be over a week with even the quick return.I'm "hoping" it's just holiday delays, and/or holiday workers.
I am already having to use multiple websites to watch movies.Netflix won't take my card.So I am having to use Greencine (up until this point faster,better csr and more movies out, at the expense of $ and selection/availability) and Blockbuster (cheaper,better selection but slower,can only max out 3, no local store and horrid csr).
I don't have local rental, not a new release only guy, and have a bit of unreliable internet to even stream.

Yea I quick returned on the 27th and no shipment but not 2 business days for me as Saturday doesn't count. They did ship me a disc on the 24th which was appreciated and arrived faster than I expected. Interesting they sent discs on the 24th but but not later in the week.

Don't really know the point of quick return, as it's looking like the movies i returned might get there before anything is even sent out.With quick return not having value(atleast in this situation), would have to consider account status if I hadn't just paid.This is the longest by far I have ever had to wait for quick return to sent out.Just hoping it's holiday delays, and nothing worse.

Hmmm, so far, no word on whether Greencine is still shipping to its paying customers the last week or so. Today is another potential shipping day, since the post office is functioning. I only have one DVD in my checked out slots, out of 3. Will anything go out today? I can hardly wait to see!

Here is a link to the BBB page for them. Has a phone number, but based on the dates of complaints i don't know how 100% up to date this is.If someone is so inclined they could try this route.

Well my last DVD was received today, and nothing sent out.

At this point I fully expect the rental portion of the site to just go dark at some unannounced point in the near future (midnight?). I've copy/pasted my queue to a text file just in case I need to reproduce it elsewhere.

It would have been nice to hear from Greencine themselves, but maybe the silence speaks volumes? And I was right in the middle of an anime series too (albeit not a terribly good one)... grrrrrr...

Never heard back from them again.Posted the BBB link.However again, even there it looks like they aren't responding.My bill date isn't for a while either way.

The problem for me is I don't have a real alternative.Which is why i was willing to take the hit in the first place.

Not a new release junkie so redbox isn't an option
Netflix won't take my payment either in CC or Paypal
No local video store
Blockbuster only has a max of 3 out at a time.No local store, so limit to what i can get.
Don't have reliable internet to browse let alone stream.

Either way poorly handled all around by Greencine.If they aren't sending out due to holidays send an email or put a notice on site.If they are going out of business, again let us know.

Only options i can think of are affadavit from bank and hope to get the month back.Or contact the BBB.Don't know how successful either would be.

I got this response via Facebook:

"No, sorry for the delay, we were having technical issues that stalled shipping for a few days, and we are closed today for the holiday. Shipping will resume as normal tomorrow. Thanks for your patience!"

Sorry, but that kind of vague "technical issues" answer goes along with the lack of communication and makes it seem all the more dishonest. They were certainly not prevented from receiving during that time. The cynical me is trying to convince me it was an end-of-year cost saving measure. The kind of cost savings that are achieved by not providing the services your customers are still paying for. Whatever, bleh...

Doesn't really address why there was nothing shipped on Dec. 26th, 27th, or 28th though, does it?

Have in writing that they "will ship" tomorrow.Which should be enough to contact the BBB with or someone along those lines if nothing ships.Though from the research I have done, they seem to have ignored the BBB reports as well.So who knows if that would work.

Went through the board for December of years past.Doesn't look like atleast postwise to indicate this being a repeat problem.Which means the problem can just as likely be financial as warehouse workers holiday break.

Of those of us posting, I am probably the furthest one from billing.Curious to the rest of you are you staying and just complaining, or will you leave when billing hits?
