I was going to say that nothing shipped today, but I just had a slot filled with a non-green bar title (Damsels in Distress (2001)).
Sorry. |

| It almost seems as though something unfortunate may be going on with their staffing since the holidays, but it's hard to tell what the situation really might be. And I'm in no position to tell, because I have no greens left in my queue at all. I did put one green at the end of my queue after 6 weeks of nothing, just to see what would happen, and it did ship immediately. However, my return took a full week to get checked back in, and USPS has never taken that long before. But of course USPS is also having its own staffing problems, so who knows. |

| I've had open slots over 6 days since 1/25.I've had no movies at home over 10 days since then.So my problem isn't purely USPS.Greens in slots 1-4 being skipped for greens lower in the queue also not USPS fault.Been over 2 days since I sent an email asking about the greens being skipped and heard nothing. |

kaream, do you mind my asking why you continue to remain here if you're getting none of your queue items shipped to you after a month and half?
I have about a dozen Greens left in my whole queue that I actually want...once they're almost finished I'm going to send GC an email with an ultimatum that if I don't start getting some of the 200 or so other colors (that are theoretically supposed to be in their inventory) shipped to me, then I'm outta here. I'm certainly not gonna stick around and keep paying for a membership that doesn't fulfill it's obligation to send me discs they CLAIM to have.

| I'd settle for even greens at the top of my queue being sent before greens towards the bottom of my queue at this point. |

Because there are still a lot of films in my queue that I can't find anywhere else, and I certainly don't want to buy them - if they're even still available to buy. My subscription is only for 1-out, so it does add up, but not that much. I don't want to queue up greens that I'm not very interested in, and possibly lose out on a chance for a movie that I really want, coming available while my one slot is being used, with turnaround time taking up to 10 days or more. I can't keep this up forever if nothing at all ever comes. At least with that one last green I queued I know they still do have me as an active subscriber. And I'm as frustrated as everyone else by the never-changing colorbars what seem to be meaningless. I've got a bunch of blues and yellows that I keep hoping for. I'm more and more suspecting that GC is winding down, not buying any more copies of anything, and apparently trimming staff that handles stuff and keeps the wheels turning. Colors used to change, not so long ago (I'm thinking up until about last November), but they seem to have abandoned that part of it. I wonder if anyone else has seen a colorbar change in the past couple of months? We know they're losing inventory; just look at the chewed-up condition of some of the mailers you get.
And then aside from GC's specific problems, it's really industry-wide, because more and more people want streaming VOD, and gradually DVDs will be going the way of VHS. I'm afraid that not too far in the future VOD will be the only available format. The way things are going so far, this could mean no more closed captions or subtitles, no more commentaries or extras, and a much smaller selection of obscure "art" movies and other niche categories. Or maybe not - they could include all that stuff in streaming if people demanded it, but it isn't there now that I'm aware. Anyway streaming doesn't work for me - my computer spends more time stopping and buffering than playing. I suspect a large part of it is the studios are pushing VOD, because it gives them much more control over piracy, which drives them nuts. |

Green has never meant guaranteed - it just means "most likely" to have available for shipping. |

Only 1 I quick returned at the start of week has cleared. I was billed on the 25th (resumed account) and now it is saying I will be billed on the 22nd meaning I get shorted 3 days, on top of the 6 days so far I've had nothing under at home so far.
So I get to deal with greencine support next week yay. |
