I see your point. And the Little angel on my shoulder says I should agree, but the Little Devil on my other shoulder has really big boobs and so I tend to listen to her instead. I can't explain it, I just really enjoyed mouse. Maybe it's my short attention span, as the episodes are all about 12 mintues long.

Forget it... SinnyG just has one of those little Hollywood angels with the oversized boob job. sinister, those aren't boobs, they're just transplanted pig testicles!

Well, whatever they are, they're big and shapely and she can flex them one at a time like Bolo Yeung in Bloodsport!

Getting away from sinnyg's epaulette ornaments, why does Akane in Ranma 1/2 run like a dork? She's supposed to be this martial arts hotshot and she can't even run? What's with that? I think only Ukyo runs like an athlete.

Again, it's the big boobs. Always getting in the way. Akane should invest in a sports bra!

It's because she is a dork. I think I'll pencil her into my expendable character list; they shouldn't have made her out to be such a Miaka w/ a P$#*& heroine.
The first season's OP is so catchy. Sometimes I just pop it in the DVD player to sing it. I'm a dork too, but I don't run like one. ^_^

I would say the same thing about Mr. Steven Seagal.

Maybe I'm picking on Akane unfairly. Other anime women can't run either. Kaoru from Rurouni Kenshin comes to mind as well. Maybe it's some odd anime thing - got to make strong female characters run like dorks in order to establish some area that the male protagonists can best them at.

I don't recall seeing Steven Seagal run at all, but then, I rarely see his movies.

you have it all wrong the actual cool chicks don't run at all and they can beat up guys any day of the week. people like Kikyo from Inu yasha, and boogiepop, and of course Robin from WHR (I love you!). It's not that they can't run, it's that they are too bada$$ to bother. I'd pick these girls in a fight against anyone, excepting the cat from Trigun. I do know one female character that runs cool though, Guu runs really cool and could beat up Kenshin and eat his first born son without even trying.

For a laughable chase scene, catch Above the Law. He could teach young girls how to run (i.e. elbows in, arms out)

Above the law... What an odd name for a cop movie...

Have you seen girls run in RL? Most girls run like dorks. It reminds me of Christopher Robin in the Disney movie running with arms out straight behind him. Is that kid fruity or what?

I've never particularly noticed how girls in anime run though, except for Hitomi in Escaflowne. She runs goofy too.

In her case isn't she using the form she learned on the High School Track Team? From her dream-boat Amano-sempai?

I think Kaoru in Kenshin is constrained by the tightness of traditional women's kimono, too. You'll see a lot of women in live-action samurai films running like that, too.

I have been watching Cosplay Complex for the past couple of nights and may add Gorou to my list of cool guys. Looks aside this guy is pretty suave.

Just as an update, I did order it, it arrived yesterday. It is hilarious and chock full of all the requisite fan-service any cosplay based anime should be! Good call, jstack.

I made some Toboe pics. This was my first time I've done everything myself in Photoshop. I also made a couple of animated icons that I'm pretty proud of. One of them will soon debut in a week or so as my new icon here at GC! I haven't had a chance to make the Kiba tee (actually my printer's broken, but I'm still planning to make the pic), but I did look for shots with him scantily clad and I'm not sure if I can make anything useful from them. -sighs-
