Paging the lovely Ms. Valentine.

BTW, it looks like some of you might want to make an additional feature request for Greencine... an adult chat room ... well back to 5 Points of the Star.

I just had a barcode tatooed on the back of my icon's neck in reverence to DBooher's icon. Now all I gotta do is gain about 200lbs to be big and lovely.

And I will never admit to going for fanservice. Unless, of course, DBooher can provide a list of her all time fave anime full o' fanservice. It would be akin to her icon bending over and offering me, itty bitty soldier that I am, a pocky. It'll have to be a new topic thread, perhaps.

Anime w/ fanservice that I like? The one that suddenly jumps to mind is Ai Yori Aoshi...and Love Hina! Okay, two jump to mind.

Ding-Ding-Ding!
It was the "doctor," wasn't it. It just makes it entirely too obvious.

I don't get it. What "doctor"?

So is DBooher's icon Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop? I haven't seen the series except for bits of a few episodes. Any anime shown on the Cartoon Network automatically gets the "kiss-of-death" for me. I feel so old and obsolete...

Kill off: Tomo (Azumanga Daioh) Jeeze, she is just over the top... and yes I know she's supposed to be, but OMG...

Promote: Lumiere (Kiddy Grade) It seems like with her mad skillzzz, she could be a lot more useful... admittedly I still haven't watched the last few eps. (I definitely dig Eclair and Lumiere's new look, tho)

Sailor-de-boinko: Mercury (She's the one with short hair, right?)

Other-characters-de-boinkaliciousness: Mizuho-sensei (Onegai Teacher), Otohime Mutsumi (Love Hina), and for the old school folks, Milia Jenus (Macross)

good (imaginary) times, good times....

But there's (c'mon don't deny it) always a character who you thought was dispensable and another who was indispensable or you just plain liked that character a lot. You might have possibly thought, "I wish that charater was real I would totally stalk them." No? Okay fine, deny it; whatever helps you sleep at night :P. This thread is dedicated to those we love and those we love to hate ( such a cosmo cliche line, I know).

It is never too late to catch this excellent series, but be warned that there are no tentacles or marionettes.

You oughta check it out. There's no tentacles, but with a little imagination....
They show FLCL and lots of other goodies, too. I've heard rumours of Full Metal Alchemist coming this fall, but nothing too solid so far.
They also started showing "Case Closed" (not in GC catalog, I wonder if/when it's on dvd) a few weeks sgo. Pretty interesting.
Sure, it's all pretty tame for a so-called "adult swim", but they do have some taste in anime. Oddly enough, Case Closed seems super-tame to look at, but the corpses are all pretty gruseomely killed (except for the one guy that got poisoned, and then the other ep where nobody died at all).

I'm just surprised that you didn't make a plug for your own fan-service heavy list.

What? No "Golden Boy" on your list? When I think of fan service that is one of the first titles that I think of... otherwise, great list.

Yes, my cousin (NOT me) is into the fansub thing. If she weren't, maybe she'd meet more people.

Funny you should mention it. I just receiced Golden Boy vol.1 from GC yesterday. Yes, I'll have to add it to my list.

Kintaro is my ideal alter ego: lecher with a heart of gold, and smart, too. Girls will probably hate him, though. Because he just rides into town, steals their hearts and rides into the sunset again. This guy definitely has a problem with com... com... commitment. ( *wow* that's so hard to say)

Ladies and gentleman, my icon is completely butt naked. You just can't tell from here.

I stand at attention, folks! Too much to see here. Move along, move along.

No one knows how to respond to such a bold declaration. Our trademark "wit" is at a stalemate.

It is a known(?) fact that if one stands at "attention" for too long in heat, there is a significant risk that said person will soon become dizzy...flaccid...and pass out (due to restricted blood flow).

...unless you live where I live, then you learn to do all kinds of things in the heat.

Meditating under an ice cold waterfall is nothing. If you can meditate under the sun at 115 degrees... now that is something.

Well then the request should be made for a mature chat room. Or there could be something similar to what is in place for spoilers... *****UTAH ALERT!***** Would that work?

As for the topic... I have been watching Cosplay Complex for the past couple of nights and may add Gorou to my list of cool guys. Looks aside this guy is pretty suave.

I saw that at Gamestop. But the title threw me off (I automatically assoicate "cosplay" titles with "how to"); is it any good?

It is pretty messed up, but the dynamics between the characters are pretty good and it is funny so I would give it a thumbs up. It is also pretty fan service heavy. It was pretty inexpensive so I figured I couldn't go wrong. If you are thinking of checking it out you might want to first look at the reviews here and here.
