| Happy Birthday Underdog. I think for your case, Christmas should be in July. |

Funny you should say that because while home for XMas I watched this one with my family: Christmas in July
Yep, it's always a poorly timed bday but what can ya do? Stretch it out for a week, that's what!

Happy (belated) Birthday Underdog! Hope you had a good one!
I think reflecting back on the year, we can safely say amongst the highs and lows, the release of the Underdog movie was not as low of a low as the release of the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie! |

I skipped the Underdog movie as the lead actor did not look nearly as humble or lovable in the trailer. And beside, Wally Cox was not available.
Live action versions of my favorite icons are not aways welcome.
Was it worth seeing? Or even renting?

Thanks for the good wishes!
And I skipped the Underdog movie, too, for purist reasons. I don't see the point of even making it - it looks nothing like the cartoon, he doesn't speak in rhyme (or does he?), it's made to appeal to kids, who have NO idea who the cartoon character is in the first place! Not that the cartoon's aged perfectly well, mind you, but it has its place and many charms still. I did hear that the actor who played Simon Bar Sinister, Peter Dinklage, was perfect. I dunno, maybe worth a watch at some point when you have a kid in tow.
Is there anything left that hasn't been redone? Snagglepuss: The Motion Picture? A live action Captain Caveman? Maybe now that Steve Carrell is doing Agent 86 in a new Get Smart movie, maybe he can also do Tennessee Tuxedo. |

Thank you, Irons! I had a great birthday in Las Vegas, freezing and watching fireworks on the Strip with the teaming throngs. Not something I'd want to do every year, but very fun to do once.
Happy belated, Underdog!

Forget about Guess The Movive game. Guess what I got as a birthday gift:
- It craws around in the house. - It make a great pet - if you like Horseshoe Crab. - It sucks, therefore it is.

That was too easy. Not even five minutes and the game is over. But the Roomba sure is fun. I wish I can take it out for a walk on a leash. |
