Very nice! I don't mind it floating in the gray.

When you pass the cursor over it maybe it should turn green like "QUEUE" and "REQUEST LIST". And a little box should appear next to it with the two little ">>"s in it.

Right now it looks like a bunch of 4th Graders pasted the page together from disparate design ideas.

Perhaps we should nominate pooja as the *meanest* GC member. She's certainly enjoyable and fun to be with, but sheesh... what a meanie!

(which isn't to say what she says isn't inaccurate...)

i wonder how many people predicted in 1995 that web site design would become more complicated than application design by virtue of the space restrictions and the need to develop one's own menu system.

I don't know about the menus, but all I'm saying is that the page layout is the web equivalent of the Possum Lodge.

Oh well, we were pretty happy with it for at least a little while. Until our enthusiasm crashed against the rocks of negativity like a rickety ship. :-P

But seriously, all in good time. Site tweaks here generally happen in stages as you no doubt have learned. Thanks for the feedback!

Wait, hold on a minute! There's no "green halo" around that icon... this could be some GC member who took the member name "GreenCineStaff" to pull a prank on us!

Curiouser and curiouser! Cried Eoliano (he was so much surprised, that for the moment he quite forgot how to speak good English).

I'd expect the designated icon change email staff member has catching that sort of thing in their job description.

If it is a fake, GC is in an interesting position with that user right about now...

Hah, I love the Spongebob graphic. He looks rather... martian.

Anyway, the GCStaff membership is just a shared account for our editorial staff. We'll be using it for some new and updated content on the site.

As much as we love your various theories, it's an official icon now, so you can feel at ease. :-P

Btw, some member actually has the user name "GreenCine" or we would have used that for this all-purpose one. Oh well. There's a little GreenCineStaff in all of us.

PoojaCine we can't beat? Say Pooja! Pooja!
I, too, would like to see the genre link state persist, if the link itself is here to stay. If the recommendation state can be set in user profile, let's do it to genres, too. Or at least, in the words of Chris Rock, I want a cookie!

An earnest but destructively bumbling employee-in-training could be "InterneCine."
Oh, that works on so many levels.

Do you like our new icon?

We'll probably change it up a lot...
