Well, in the meantime, that whole IMDb thread has either fallen off a cliff or simply been deleted.

Basically I suggested that Bertolucci strikes me as being a joyful Dirty Old Man, in a number of his movies, gleefully putting more details of sex up on the screen than his stories really require.

In the long apres-sex take where the camera moves slowly up from Isabelle's calves to her post-orgasmic face, her labia are very obviously reddened and puffy, much more so than might be expected from normal intercourse. This is a detail that is in the film only because Bertolucci must have specifically wanted to show it. The effect might have been makeup, or added in postproduction, or it wouldn't surprise me if Bertolucci asked Green to have a few minutes of privacy and masturbate vigorously.

I thought it was pretty funny that in the Venus de Milo scene, where Matthew is presumably performing cunnilingus up under her drapery, if you look at how the two are actually positioned, he must in fact have his face nuzzled up in her butt crack.

And as another offhand example of Bertolucci's predelictions, in The Last Emperor, Pu Yi is still breastfed into his adolescence -- but his supposed wetnurse was obviously cast for the virginal shapeliness of her breasts and nipples, and had never nursed in her life.

Best choice would be "Butterflies" with Maria Forsa. Best unsimulated I've ever seen.
