Just an FYI for the rest of you. I sent an email asking for an extra disc and got this response. Can't hurt for the rest of you to ask.

"I can issue a partial refund, however I literally have no way to send out extra rentals through the system. Would that be acceptable?"

This is just the cherry on top of my gripes with GC...

I have over 350 titles in my queue and only about 25 are Green. I KNOW in my gut they don't even have many of the Un-green titles (either anymore, or never had them to begin with) in stock...

I'm really tired of this bait-and-switch tactic, especially because it's been complained about by many besides myself for YEARS now and nothing's changed.

Once I get about 10 more of the titles I know are available, I will suspend my membership to keep my queue, then check in from time to time to see if anything's changed...but I don't expect it to. At least until whoever is running this "company" either starts doing his job or hands over the reins to someone who cares about this.

I'm just one person with a minimum membership, but thats $120 a year GC won't get from me anymore.

Still nothing again.

Well I had a return that they processed today but nothing went out.

I went ahead and got a snapshot of my que as well. They have not shipped anything since the 24th which makes me wonder if this is more than a technical issue and if they are shutting down and not letting us know. This is very strange.

Have contacted their local BBB about this. Not a full report though, just the form on the site to get advice about the situation.Greencine hasn't emailed me about the refund they offered or the lack of service either.Posted on their facebook wall as well about this.I'm probably the furthest one from renewal as well.

From my end I don't know what else I can do.

Just checked their twitter, looks to be sporadic updates as well.

Just got this response from Greencine.Notice they don't give a date just "soon". Have responded asking when soon is.Will post when I get a response.

"Your shipping should be back to normal very soon. I've processed a refund (which should post in 2-5 days) for 12$. I'm very sorry about the recent lack of shipping and I appreciate your patience."

Mind you I got this email at 10 pm eastern, and according to the Help page on this site, says customer support hours stop at 5 pm PST.So not sure what to make of the late night response.

I got an email on Jan. 1st reminding me to update my credit card info because it expires at the January. I replied that I would, but I wanted to receive either a credit or an extra rental for nothing being shipped to me for over a week.

As of last night I didn't receive a response (I haven't checked this morning yet because Hotmail is having problems).

My situation is this: if this fiasco isn't resolved satisfactorily, I'll just not renew my card and my membership will end on 1/31.

Just checked my bank account, and I don't even have anything pending right now as far as greencine goes.

I haven't had an empty slot over the holidays, but now I've got one.

Hopefully something will ship today!

I've been noticing that only green movies have been shipping lately, so make sure that you do have green movies in the first 100 slots of your queue.

Very odd nothing went out yet.
post #35  on January 3, 2013 - 10:54 AM PST
Green availability has nothing to do with it.As all my queue except 2 are green. Some of us have had open slots since December 27th or earlier.I have email documentation from them saying there were problems(didn't specify what they were or if they were fixed).I have email documentation from them saying service would resume on a specific date (it didn't). I have email documentation telling me a refund is coming my way (nothing pending as of this morning on my bank account).

Well, finally my slots have been filled with titles "released to shipping". I was hoping that with 5-6 days of received DVDs back in the warehouse I would get something from near the top of my queue when they finally shipped, but no. All greens from the bottom 15 slots. Sigh.

Yup, I just had something move into the shipped slot, but it was a green one. It's been a long time since I've had any non-green titles ship.

I now have released to shipping as well.
post #39  on January 3, 2013 - 11:30 AM PST
Would have been nice to know something was actually going to be sent out.To plan my queue better.A Nightmare on Elm Street was a Yellow, and was skipped over after 7+days of waiting. Now i have Friday the 13th,The Amityville Horror,Poltergiest and a Foreign film instead.

Mind you, being on the east coast my wait is still technically not over.As it won't get here until sometime next week. Also still have to keep my eye on my bank statement for the "refund" that isn't showing up yet.

At the very least, we should have plenty of quick return slots.

Got this as a response from Greencine

"Most likely movies left the warehouse yesterday, but with the compounded days of extra shipping from the holiday, they were late on processing the queue updates. The queue lists your next rotation as going out today, but it could have been either yesterday or today to be honest."
