Have had 4 open slots over 24 hours and nothing being sent out with nothing below green in my queue.Better to pay for a 62% success rate of movies reaching me the past month? Or to pay and not have anything sent out with open slots.

Twenty-four... hours???! Not days???!

You must be new here. I've yet to receive a disc in 2013. Only have a one-out, but at least one green in my Queue the whole time. Long ago gave up on successively four, three, or two-out, since they send a disc just once in awhile anyway.

FGaipa, you need more greens in your queue.

BluffingJ, you know they don't ship on the weekend right?

When they send something and you don't receive it, that's a problem with USPS, not with GreenCine; so you can't blame them.

Actually, it's a problem for ALL of us if that movie is now lost forever.

If it's not leaving at all it's a problem on them.

My GC queue is for items I can't get overnight any night elsewhere.

I on the other hand would settle for anything being shipped out.

Sorry, but you're being very unclear.

Your post that I responded to earlier seemed to say that GC notified you (either in your queue or by email) that they had shipped movies, but you never received some 40% of the ones they told you they had shipped.

Or are you saying instead that you keep having open slots for which GC has NOT told you they have shipped something?

These are two entirely different situations.

If they tell you a movie has shipped, but you never received it, have they then told you they've received it back? This would mean the mailer cover tore off in USPS's sorting equipment, and it was returned to GC.

Or, if they tell you a movie has shipped but you haven't received it, and GC has NOT received it back, wait one week plus one day from the date it was sent out, and report it lost in the mail so it will be removed from your queue as being checked out to you. That eight-day period is to account for delays in the mail.

On the other hand, if you keep having open slots unfilled (with lots of greens in your queue), this means 1) it's the familiar color-bar problem, or 2) the shoestring they're operating on is getting more and more frayed, with warehouse understaffing, or 3) most likely both of these.

Frank, I'm working it along the same lines as you, down to one from a three-out. After six weeks with nothing at all I finally stuck a green at the end of my queue, just to see if they knew I was still registered - and lo and behold, it shipped immediately.

Those damn mailers freak me out; I know they're losing valuable stock - much of it irreplaceable. That's why I slather the return mailers with clear shipping tape, to make sure they will at least get back to them okay.

In January I have had 8 movies sent out and only 5 made it to me.

At the same time, I have had open slots since Friday the 25th with nothing but Green in my queue.

Well, setting aside the problem of open queue slots for which nothing was ever shipped out to you, what's the status of the three that were shipped, but not received? Were any or all returned to GC by USPS? If not, and they are still being counted against your queue slot allowance, have you reported the ones that are 8 or more days out?

As Cinenaut said, they're closed weekends. If your queue is all green but nothing shipped yesterday, maybe their shipping guy was out with the flu. Is anything going out today? They do give themselves up to 48 hours turnaround.

I did notice my bill date doesn't match when i was billed.

Was billed 1/25 says my next bill date is 2/22.

Everything under rental history has returned.

Nothing been sent out yet.

I had open slots on Friday wouldn't yesterday be the 48 hours and not today?

Cinenaut, when you're down to non-green titles that you really want to see, the problem with adding green titles to your queue just to get something rather than nothing, is that by getting a green, you're losing the possible opportunity for a non-green, if one might come available, for up to a week to 10 days transit time to you and back. Who knows if you might have lost out on a yellow or orange that you would have been up for during that time.

No - two normal open business days, not including weekends or holidays. But usually they're faster than that.

I don't think they maintain a sh!tlist, but if so ... maybe it comprises the loudest complainers.
