A Big Happy 4th....

Even when I was only 8, I would take all the insides out of all of my poppers (the little ones you throw, you know?) and make one big huge popper. Then one year it blew up in my face and I was partially deaf for the whole afternoon... Fun! This year I get to teach my nephew how to set off a bunch of "fire crackle"s (they're big strings of tiny exploding balls, like baby firecrackers) at once - tonight, we're gonna try lying them around and setting off a big spinning firework in the middle of them all. Should be interesting. New for my town this year: Spinning, exploding eyes. They spin like tops for a few seconds, then the fuse runs down to a "fire crackle bomb" (just a little plastic ball with the tiny fire crackles inside - I made some fun mods of these before) and it explodes. It's a neat idea, but I'm dissappointed that I never thought of it myself.
