Okay, let's make this one quick.
I'll give hints. First hint: Contains poultry. Don't know if it countains turkeys per se (well.....) but it contains their very close relative. |

Gee, woozy, does the movie feature a lactation rinse?
No, woozy, it's not "Bedtime for Bonzo" nor is it "Heidi". Thanks for Playing! |

No, by 1974 the two main stars had very successful careers in an entirely different filed than acting. (Hmm, actually both in the same field but that's really just coincidence.) Neither acted in anything after 1974.

Well this is going over like a Lead Zepplin...
Hint: The two stars of this movie are not Laurel and Hardy, not Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda, not Delphine Seyrig and Giorgio Albertazzi, Tom Laughlin and Delores Taylor, not Godzilla and the Smog Monster, not Harry and Michael Medved, not a couple of seagulls, and not a bunch of midgets in cowboy suits. |

No. Some Time before that. It's not a Relatively Recent film.

No. No, the lead actress' last movie was in 1949 (though she did a tv show from 1958-1961). She's still alive, By The Way.
The lead actor still did movies and TV through the fifties till about '64 when he pursued he's next carreer. He Died Relatively Recently.

Ah, you are still here? I was concerned that once December arrived you wouldn't want to play any more.
Yes, it was made after 1945.

I think I've got the film (I know for certain who the actress is), so in the interest of prolonging the agony for us all, can you tell us if GreenCine carries the film for rental?
Thank goodness you've got this new puzzle up, I've got a massive paper for finals and this is absolutely my favorite way to procrastinate. |

No. I mean I can tell you but the answer is no. It's not for rent by GreenCine (and Netflix & any other company renting DVDs as it's not available on DVD.)

As the delegate on behalf of the entire universe, who undoubtedly are tensely biting ninety trillion fingernails, I submit my answer: That Hagen Girl.
I hope I'm right - Jules Dassin left me that safe to crack, silently, after finishing my essay. |

Yep, woke up one morning weeks ago thinking about it. Now, for the life of me I have no idea why. Maybe it's because Shirley Temple's initials ST were calling out to me for unknown reasons. ST, ST, hmmm?

Wow I didn't notice your hidden answer the first time through. I thought my browser was spasming. That's some scary Will Shortz type action right there.
I'm lost for how this title relates to Thanksgiving, or even poultry. Is there some kind of Hagen chicken that I've avoided eating for my whole life? |

I posted this thread around the time of Thanksgiving. It was a Thanksgiving GTM (i.e. a GTM right before [during and long past] Thanksgiving); not a Thanksgiving movie. (i.e. not a GTThanksgivingM.)
>Is there some kind of Hagen chicken that I've avoided eating for my whole life? > ---------------------------------
Well, if you and your chicken are going to engage in eating each other, it's very important to know as much as you can about each other. Some chickens aren't of the best stock, if you know what I mean. And as for that Hagen chicken, well, no-one knows where she's been.
There's a scene of clacking hens at one point. Or at least according to The Fifty Worst Films of all Times, an amusing little tract by Michael Medved before he took on of those all too common humorless right turns. Most of the other movies and actors mentioned in here are from the book. Didn't notice the hidden message? Did you notice the increasing in size and decreasing in color pairs of "ST"s (Shirley Temple) and "RR"s (Ronald Reagan)?
